We live in California but come to NYC at least once a year. This was our third time staying at the Shelburne Sonesta. It is in a great location, given our needs while in NYC, which allows us to walk to many of the places we need to go. We like that it is not in the midst of the most touristy areas of the city. It is also not as pricey as some of the other hotels but still provides a comfortable, clean environment.

We stayed at the Sonesta from September 5-7, 2026 for a long weekend. The hotel was very clean and convenient to downtown New York. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Checked in late on a Tuesday night and the staff was very accommodating. The room was okay not much of a city view but the roof top restaurant had amazing skyline views...food was priced kind of high though. Great location overall walking distance to a lot in Manhattan.
