We loved the property and our room. The room had a heating system but no AC, but given the time of the year it was perfect. We had the windows open most of the night to let the room cool down. The hotel had an easy walk to the bus stop and train. The staff was nice and friendly. Would def stay there again.

There were ants on the bathroom floor and we couldn’t get restful sleep because we found bugs in the sheets. When we went to check out, the front desk person was snoring in a nearby room and only woke up after we called the front desk, which caused us to almost miss our train. The property was nice, but there are better options for a similar price.

L’accueil a été très décevant et de façon générale, sans enthousiasme, seul un réceptionniste parmi les nombreux que nous avons rencontré était plus ou moins aimable. Nous n’avons jamais vu ça comme si ce personnel était dérangé par quoi que ce soit. Pas de petit déjeuner. Peut-être était-ce annoncé sur le site mais nous n’avions pas remarqué l’hôtel est placé au bout d’une côte qu’il faut escalader. Il y a possibilité de prendre un petit déjeuner pas très loin sympathique, mais on peut être refroidi par les distances qui nous séparent de tout accès à la ville de Rome lorsqu’on est fatigués. On ne peut pas redescendre de la maison pour aller manger le soir ou faire une autre activité.

A very nice stay in Alessandrino. The staff is supernice and helpfull. Loved our room with a terrasse. Rooftop terrasse is also great with the view. Nice room and big bathroom . Short walk to resturants, shops , the Vatican, Trastevere. Even walking distanse to Trevi fountain and Spanish stairs. This was all perfect stay.

Poor hotel

Hotel is very old and need renovations … you can see mold on the ceiling . Noise isolation is very poor , all furniture old and useless , room very small and have no even bed table for second person , shower is old , fan of ventilation very loud , there is nothing what can you remember about service and comfort. Hotel located up on the hill , all shops and restaurants are down hill , absolutely not worth 120$ + turist tax . Think twice before reservation.

Hyggeligt hotel. God beliggenhed. Venligt personale og en meget høj rengørings standard. Det eneste negative der kan siges er at værelset/hotellet er lidt slidt. Der var et problem med bruseren men det blev håndteret med det samme. Stedet kan anbefales og vi vil gerne komme tilbage

Hôtel traditionnel situé dans un quartier calme à 10 mn des bus et de la gare San Pietro avec accès facile à l'aéroport. Grande chambre bien chauffée (en janvier), bon accueil, ménage quotidien. 20 mn à pied de la basilique Saint Pierre. Mais ça grimpe pour arriver à l'hôtel !

Zero customer care or service Very outdated hotel Shower was horrendous, small, broken, too low wouldn't stay in a position to actually shower, a random switch above the shower which apparently was an alarm? We have had a pleasant stay at hotel Alessandrino. It was nicely priced for a hotel in Rome. The room was clean, which is for us one of the most important things. The hotel staff was nice, relaxted and helpfull. Our room was small but it was ok for city trip. Bathroom could use a upgrade, rainshower was not ok anymore, but normal showerhead worked fine. Downside of our room was mainly the noice from washing machines, cleaning and reception at all possible hours. The wall do not isolate any sound. Location wise it is not typically in the most exiting area. It is great for going to the vatican, but little bit more far to other large attractions. It is walkable to center but expect times of 45minutes. Otherwise take a bus (8min walk) or other means of transport. I think for what you pay you get a fair room.

Book only if your low on funds

This location is decent but requires a 12-minute walk, mostly uphill, which may be challenging for some. While it's in a nice area, the lack of nearby transportation and the steep incline may be inconvenient. Our bathroom was not properly cleaned; there were signs a previous guest with blonde hair had stayed in our room. The walls are thin, so noise can be an issue. The bathroom design was poor, featuring an accordion-style shower screen that closes into a cramped square. Since the floor lacks proper drainage, the bathroom floods unless towels are placed around the shower. Additionally, the shower handle gets dangerously hot, which could be a concern for children. Another issue is that the elevators are turned off after 9 a.m. for reasons unclear. Furthermore, you are required to leave your keys at the front desk whenever you leave, with staff assuring that "someone is always there." While the hotel claims to be 4-star, don't be misled—this is more of a 2-star experience.
