The Grand Hotel Aminta was phenomenal! Great location, 10 minutes away from the city center. Transportation was provided every hour to and from the city center which was very convenient! And the staff, absolutely phenomenal!

What you should know: the Aminta is a good distance from the center of Sorrento, BUT their wonderful on-the-hour proprietary shuttle bus made the distance irrelevant as there was never a time when we couldn't do what we wished. The views are spectacular and the physical hotel is lovely. Towels could be plusher, but that's a minor concern. Staff was great, breakfast was THE BEST ever encountered for no cost. In general: Terrific.

We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room upon arrival, which made our stay even more special. The room was clean, modern, and offered stunning views (best in town). Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The hotel also provides a convenient complimentary shuttle service to Sorrento center every hour, which made exploring the area easy and stress-free. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

The hotel service was excellent. Our breakfast and diner host, Fernando, was very attentive and provided excellent service. We are a difficult family in that one of our family members has a multiple food allergies and he was extremely accommodating and attentive when considering her needs. The shuttle service is reliable and takes you to and from the Sorrento city center, very close to the rail station. The hotel offers majestic views of Sorrento, a relaxing atmosphere, and an extremely attentive and kind staff. I can’t wait to come back!

7 days on the Amalfi coast

Fantastic location with stunning views just 10 mins outside Sorrento. The hourly shuttle bus is a blessing as taxis are very expensive. The walk up and down to the hotel is also good but would suggest some general fitness as it’s quite steep but worth every step with the views. The service from all hotel staff was outstanding. The restaurant and bar staff very attentive and professional and reception staff super helpful with questions on getting around campania and exploring whether is be ferry or train times or best way to book things. Would highly recommend this hotel as a central location to explore the amalfi coast

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish! The rooms, staff, drinks and food were excellent but what took our breath away was the views! To wake up and see that view every morning as we walked down to breakfast was amazing! Desk staff are very helpful with suggestions and the free breakfast has a great variety. Pool was refreshing and getting a lounger was not difficult. Rooms and common areas all clean and well taken care of. Really a fantastic place to stay, we would gladly stay there again!

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. It is worth every penny! The staff is so amazing and friendly and the guests were fabulous too. I fell under the weather towards the end of the trip and they were super helpful to us finding a doctor and getting us taxis for our departure. Definitely will be staying here again when we visit Sorrento!
