Good: Older building, but rooms renovated fairly recently, probably last five years or so. Hotel was completely full due to many fire evacuees like myself, but room service staff was exceptional and did great job of keeping everything clean despite crowd. Vinyl plank floors make for clean rooms. Bed very comfy. Room was very quiet despite crowd. Everything worked. Pool clean, although it was winter and no one was using it. Overall, definitely one of the better Motel 6's or other places in this class and much better than I was expecting.
Bad (all fairly minor): No blackout curtains, sunrise brings in lots of light. No smart TV means no streaming services. Front desk staff varied, some were good but most were not very interested or helpful. Location is not anywhere near Old Town Pasadena despite name, very deceptive listing. Area is a bit run down but OK, some homeless people were in the area but not bothersome. Coffee but no breakfast, but Denny's two blocks away.
