Budget hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Heating in room not working. Fan in bathroom not working. Could hear other guests in rooms, water, and general noise, staff were helpful in providing hairdryer and charging plug. Bed comfy. Outside had overflowing bins.

Fine if you need a place to sleep
If you need a bed that's ok and is really convenient to access from the motorway then this place might be for you. The member of staff on reception was lovely, check in was quick and easy. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a large group of young people staying at the same time as us and they were very loud - banging on each others doors, lots of shouting and laughing. Sadly the rooms are not very sound proof - we could hear the shower and toilet in adjoining rooms. The hotel is dated, it has obviously been part of other chains in the past and very little has been changed as it changed hands (the fire instructions on the back of the door still have Ibis Budget logos on them). The bathroom was clean but there is no provided toiletries beyond hand soap. The bed linens were all clean. We had 3 pillows for 2 guests and they were all very thin and not the most comfortable. The mattress was also acceptable but had plenty of room for improvement. Cobwebs and mould on the ceiling but carpets and surfaces were clean. The room was very spacious. The hotel is easy to access from the motorway and there is a pub next door for food and drink. As we just needed a place to crash and get some rest during a long car journey it was fine. I could have slept better but it could have been much worse.

Hôtel standard pour visiter Sterling et Glasgow
Ancien hôtel Ibis Budget, il a changé d'enseigne pour GO2. La chambre est spacieuse et a été rénovée récemment. Très propre. Gros bémol, nous avions réservé les petits déjeuners et il s'avère qu'ils ne sont pas servis sur place mais fournis à emporter. La responsable, très compréhensive, nous en a proposé le remboursement tout en nous indiquant des restaurants à proximité. Ce que nous avons accepté. Merci Hotels.com pour le manque d'informations ! Sinon Sterling (très jolie) est à 20 mn de voiture et Glasgow (décevante) à 1/2 heure de train.

Pretty much what you expect the room was clean the staff were friendly and efficient . The carpets weren't great quite worn especially in the hall and the shower was quite slippy maybe a non-slip mat would help.

Used as a stopover on our way to the North-east of scotland, can't really fault anything, yes it needs a bit of updating here and there, but the bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and a nice shower. The pub next door - the Red Deer - has lovely food and is highly recommeded. Would stay here again if passing.
