The parkade geometry was a bit challenging but it was great to be able to park at the hotel, unlike many hotels in great locations in Portugal!

This was a very nice, comfortable room and hotel. A great value for the price. It exceeded my expectations which was absolutely wonderful, plus it is in the perfect area to explore Coimbra.

My stay was fine. Absolutely what you’d expect from an Ibis. Reliable. Convenient. A room with no bells and whistles. A bit old and tired but perfect as a place to sleep and explore the city.

Apart from the tricky ramp to the parking, this hotel was perfect for our needs. We coped with the parking with practice, but dont bring a long car. Staff were great and hotel had everything we needed.

This IBIS hotel was a great location ! For the price we paid, it was outstanding value ! We only stayed one night as we did not know how much there was to see in Coimbra but we should have stayed 1 more day before making our way to Lagos. Charming town and the hotel was way above expectation. Staff was super friendly and helpful, room was somewhat basic but very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a small extra but was worth the money. Close to shops and restaurants. Parking underground was a nice plus. Would go back for sure, highly recommended !

Clean comfortable if a little tired.

Brilliant location for a sports event in the park across the road and dinner in town at night. Parking available but very tight. Breakfast was ok. Staff brilliant. Room very small and a little tired but very clean and comfortable.

Worth staying for AC in hot weather

Reasonably comfortable stay. Room is pretty tight, and weird closes two ways bathroom/bedroom door is a pain in tight space. Good location. Most important was the AC worked n very hot days.

A nice hotel in easy walking distance from the university and UNESCO attractions there, as well as fado performances. A small room, very cramped for 2 single beds and 2 people. The parking underground is very tight, I would to have wanted to drive anything but a very small car into there and out of there. On street parking nearby but you have to pay for daytime parking. Nice people at hotel and good breakfast.

The staff were excellent in this hotel The breakfast buffet was good What brought the ratings down so low? What's the air conditioning system or lack of It's turned off until a certain time of the year Which means our room was hot all the time. The temperature of our room at night around ten o'clock would be twenty five twenty six celsius. I measured it This means we had to leave our window open with all the outside noise and car pollution, and our room door opened. So the air would circulate until the room cooled down enough to go to sleep, which is usually around twelve one o'clock in the morning If you're going to stay in this hotel and the weather's going to change from hot to cold hot to cold, I would not recommend staying there

Functional and clean, but no frills

A very standard, albeit dated, Ibis property. Do not expect any magic and you won’t be disappointed. The room was very basic but functional; rather clean (though there were crumbs left under the bed and the shower had some old stains). We had a room turned away from the river (with a view of the city), and it was very quiet at night. Wifi works like a charm. My only qualm is the shower - water pressure was very weak.

This was our second time at this hotel. April 2023 and now (October 2023). The construction in front of the hotel is not a big deal. We just happened to be here during University week, so it was noisy and couldn’t drive to the hotel because the road was closed until 9:00 pm. Then there was a concert from at 2:00 to 5:00 am (yes, am in the morning), so needless to say, we didn’t get much sleep. Moral of the story, don’t stay here if you come during University week (happens twic a year).
