Very cool hotel since it was once a sugar mill and the newest hotel to open in half a century in the French Quarter. The rooms were modern, spacious and comfy, you easily can walk to Canal Street, Bourbon Street and the French Quarter in under 5 minutes. but can sleep well by not being in the middle of those louder streets.

Room pictures were completely misleading. Our room looked nothing at all like what was advertised. We could’ve stayed at The Four Seasons for nearly the same amount of room rate. No housekeeping came and I was told we have to request for housekeeping. Just very disappointed.

Our biggest complaint was with the staff. No one was friendly. The front desk staff didnt smile or converse at all. The bartender let us sit in the lounge for 10 minutes before yelling across the room to ask if we were doing okay. If the expectation is that we order at the bar, maybe letting us know when we came in or having signage somewhere would be helpful. When the hot water carafe was empty at breakfast, the person working clearly saw that nothing was coming out and instead of saying “I’ll be over in a second to get you some water” he just kept emptying the trash and cleaning up. This happened to be the same bartender who didn’t communicate with us during happy hour. For the price we were charged for a room after all the taxes and fees were added on, I would have left with a better impression if the staff had at least tried a little bit.

Everything was near perfect for our stay! We ran into a minor issue with the ac unit being locked at a certain temperature and it didn’t work until late in the night. Otherwise, no complaints.

The receptionist (young girl) was not welcoming while busy with her private phone. Not one smile or good morning during purwhole stay. No information, we had to ask about everything. Breakfast was kaos and poor. This was the popfest breakfast during out trip visitibg 6 different hotels and this was by far the priciest. Guy in breakfast unfriendly and in a very bad mood. Rooms supersmall, cleaning only upon request. Very overpriced Hotel. You only stay here for the lookstion. Will not come again and Will not recommend.

The room was a double leaving almost no room to walk around the beds - one of the smallest we've had in 25+ trips to NOLA. No chair. No table. Open industrial style "closet" and a wall-hung, 6-inch deep set of drawers. The view was over the mall next door. We were told that because our privacy is paramount, no one would enter our room unless we requested service the day before at the desk that was usually manned but not always. Because we don't believe sheets/towels are dirty after one use, this was fine. However, beds were made with a complex fold at the top and required using your hands to shove them into the bed frame and frankly, they never looked good after that. The two window were covered with short drapes hung on half inch tension rods so they sagged. With our best efforts, the room, after no service in 4 days looked distinctly Motel 8-ish. There is a full service bar that doubles as their free breakfast bar in the morning that never varied except that after the first day, the large white coffee mugs disappeared replaced by paper cups. The pancake/waffle warmer was either empty or had one lone pancake. Fruit offerings were sad and not fresh. The first day there was a selection of small biscuits/bread/danish/muffins but this didn't appear to be refreshed so first come, first served. You bussed your own table. Small terrace on the roof. Great view.

The room was clean and nice but not like the picture shown, similar but doesn’t we didn’t have the exposed brick and historic feeling. was just a regular room with two queen beds. Bed was not the most comfortable and the sheets were so wrinkled to the point they were hard, to be fair that was only on one of the two beds. Service is great and the location and views are amazing. Will be coming back.

This was our second time staying at this hotel and love the architecture, location, and vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive without being over engaged. The hotel bar has a fun mix of tourists and local regulars. We plam to be back soon!

Nice hotel - but needs help

Nice hotel with great location. No water pressure at sink and hotel refused to fix during our four-day stay despite daily promises to repair or offer room with adequate pressure. Very poor continental breakfast options.

A very nice hotel. The room was great. Especially the bathroom and shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is good in that it’s close to the RTA lines and not too far to walk to French quarter. Great access to Riverwalk. Each night I was awakened by the train going through like at 4 a.m. and occasionally by a police siren. Other than that quiet and restful. Access to a workout facility across the street was a plus too. Overall, a good choice for us. 4 adults. 2 rooms.
