Hotel Review: Disappointing Experience Despite Nice Facilities
Check-in was quick, but the front desk employee was unfriendly and unhelpful. I was told to scan a QR code for all information, and when I asked for a map, I was informed none were available—only to later find out that maps were available, just not offered. Not a great first impression.
The hotel app is essential for booking restaurants and accessing services, but it rarely works properly. Booking dining reservations through it is frustrating—you’re only allowed one reservation per day, and good luck trying to book for a group. Even supervisors struggled with the app and couldn’t assist us. It felt like no one really knew how to help.
Most staff members came across as annoyed and unapproachable. Not all were rude, but the general attitude seemed to be that guests were a burden rather than welcome.
On the upside, The Cut (steakhouse) and the Japanese Hibachi were excellent and worth the visit. However, avoid the Mediterranean and Italian restaurants—food quality was poor and not worth your time. The buffet was just okay; much of the food was cold unless made fresh to order. Also, the AC in the restaurants barely worked, which made meals uncomfortable.
The beach was a major letdown, completely covered in seaweed. This seems to be a broader issue along the coast, including at places like Blue Lagoon beach, so I wouldn’t recommend paying for an excursion there unless you know conditions are good.
