Don't recommend this property.
The property is run down. The chairs in the lobby were dirty, the elevator was peeling on the inside, we had lamps that didn't work, the breakfast was minimal.

Nothing works
The sink in the bathroom spit up sewage. We had to switch rooms, then the air conditioner didn’t work in the room. The next morning we went to work out in the gym- the air conditioner in there wasn’t working as well…81 degrees to workout in😡 after breakfast we wanted to sit in the hot tub, yet that was ice cold. Frustrating that the amenities were not working. That is one of the reasons that we made reservations there.

Good values for your bucks.
Good values for your bucks. La Quinta by Wyndham Las Vegas Sommerlin offers good, safe, quiet location, lodging is comfortable, breakfast has pretty complete food items for everyone. Facilities are not quite new or maintauned. But, I had a pretty good stay there.

Not so nice this time.
I have stayed here twice before for business and the rooms were nice. The room I stayed in this time (421) wasn't so nice. Every light was dim and the one at the refrigerator/microwave section didn’teven work. The bathtub had a horrible stain and the drain plug wasn't in the tub and wouldn't stay up to allow water to drain. It looked as if the soap ledge had come off and was just glued back on. The water would start out hot, but would then go warm and one time went stone cold for 5 minutes even when turning to the hot even more. Also charging $10.00 a day for non-secure parking is crazy, especially when I was staying two weeks. The clerk was nice and waived it for me this one time. I can say that the staff here is very nice, courteous and helpful. I doubt however, that I will stay here again as it seems the place is going downhill.

great place to stay because of proximity to visit family. sadly we were charged an unexpected/new $10/day for parking which wasn't disclosed at booking. Other than that staff accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Good and not so good
The good: friendly staff. Bed linens and towels were soft. The not so good: One night stay - the hotel is located next to a busy freeway, so sound was a challenge in my room. The shower drain required cleaning... I was standing in water due to the state of the drain. I tried cleaning it but to no avail. The bathroom fan and light were on the same switch. The fan sounded like the motor was struggling - hopefully it will get some TLC soon from facilities. I was surprised to see CFL lamps still in use in the table lamps. I thought most hotels had adopted LED.

Average price average stay.
First, I want to say the breakfast here was one of the best I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. The gym was also convenient and a bit spacious. The location of this hotel was good due to it not being on the noisy area of town. The few things I didn’t like was the dirtiness throughout the hotel. Could tell the carpet had not been vacuumed in a while either in the hallways or room. The restroom was also really dirty as it had grime and dirty around it. Overall, I would more than likely one back just because the breakfast was more than I expected.

Meh
Shocked by the $250 hold for incidentals. TV didn’t work, bathtub faucet linked and was leaving a nasty stain in the tub, smell of smoke was evident and the property is in need of an update and renovation. Would not stay here again, however you do get what you pay for. Just didn’t live up to my long term experience as a LQ property.
