Relaxing Family Stay with Great Views

We had a great stay at Creta Maris Resort. The all inclusive setup makes it super relaxing – you don’t have to think about anything and can fully unwind. Most staff were friendly and helpful, except for one or two at Enomy Restaurant whose English made communication tricky, and the luggage staff who seemed a bit indifferent. Food-wise, I recommend booking the à la carte restaurants. Buffets offer variety but are average in quality. Enomy has more choices than Estia. We tried Alatsi – excellent service, amazing sea view, food slightly salty, but the crème brûlée was a highlight. Desserts overall are large and satisfying. Pool bar snacks weren’t great, but drinks and cocktails were excellent – perfect for sunny poolside moments. Our room had a partial sea view and the resort is beautiful, with lots of photo spots. There’s a private beach, plenty of pools, and activities you can book easily through their app. I suggest staying at least 3 days. With 4 or 5 nights, you can also explore the town. Overall, it’s not super luxury, but it’s a great fit for families and covers a wide range of needs. Recommended.

Great all inclusive Hotel

We choose the hotel because of its location to the sea. The hotel itself is a small village. The restaurants were great and delicious. The drinks at the bar great. Every night were some entertainings. We loved the day activities, especially the watergym where we went twice a day. We havent set a foot outside the hotel which means how great the hotel was. The sea was a bit wavy but there were lots of sunbeds and around the pools as well. Would totally recommend.

Riesige Hotel Anlage, viele Menschen dennoch bei der Adult only area entspannt ruhig. Das was Gestört hat war, das die Leute teilweise um 6 Uhr morgens ihre Handtücher auf die liegen getan haben, obwohl Schilder dran hängen das es nicht erlaubt sei und keinen interessiert es. Das Essen war mittelmäßig bis gut. Die Zimmer in unserem Flur hatten alle 2 Einzelbetten die zusammengeschoben waren, was in der Früh extrem laut war, wenn der Zimmerservice die Zimmer sauber gemacht hat, weil der Boden aus Fliesen besteht was nicht optimal dafür ist. Buffet war mittelmäßig, nicht wirklich viel Abwechslung aber dafür waren die a la cart Restaurants sehr gut. Der Strand war super und die Hotellage ebenfalls. Preis Leistung war würde ich sagen trotzdem gut.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist der hervorragende Service! Alle Mitarbeiter/innen waren sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit! Die Anlage ist sehr schön und weitläufig und alles ist sehr sauber! Auch die Essensauswahl ist fantastisch. Wir werden bestimmt eines Tages wiederkommen!!!

Gutes 4 Stern

Das Zimmer ist sehr alt. Das Essen meistens super. Personal freundlich. Ich würde es als gutes 4 Stern Hotel bezeichnen. Wenn man eine Liege am Pool möchte, muss man um etwa 7 Uhr aufstehen, und braucht auch dann noch glück. Die Liegen werden immer besetzt, den Mitarbeitern ist es egal.

Great Stay at the Creta Maris Resort

We stayed at the Creta Maris hotel as the third leg in our Greece trip. We took the ferry from Santorini and it was about a 45 minute cab ride from the port. I would try to arrange transportation through the hotel beforehand so you can get picked up without lining up for a cab. The resort is huge, beautiful and well-maintained. There are multiple pools, bars, a la carte and buffet restaurants since it is all-inclusive. The main pool and adults-only pool were right next to the beach. There are rocks so I would bring water shoes for the beach. There are a lot of young families so I am glad we booked the adults-only room / area as we were not travelling with children. You need to get and install the Creta Maris app which I did beforehand. However, I had to email the hotel to get a code to activate the booking system. As you need to book the day before starting at 8:00 am for the a la carte restaurants on the app, this was a bit tricky. It would be helpful if the resort had a waiting list as some people don’t show up for their reservations. We really enjoyed the food at the main buffet restaurant. The bars in the central area were great with beautiful sea views but it was sometimes difficult to get a seat. The resort has some entertainment but nothing like the broadway-style shows we have seen on cruise ships. We had a great few days at the Creta Maris resort but wish we’d been able to stay a few days longer.

Ik vond het een plezierige verblijf, ligging was mooi en goed ambiance. Alhoewel heb ik wel een paar punten om toe te voegen; restaurant merk je dat er toch meer obers nodig zijn vanwege de drukte, een keer gingen wij aan de andere kant van kleine restaurant een drankje doen bij de zee, ontbijt service bleek nog niet open te zijn maar de deur was open om Koffie te pakken , we werden op een onvriendelijke manier toegesproken dat ontbijt service nog niet open was( 4 min daarna ging het open ) en daar werden we op aangesproken maar heel onvriendelijk terwijl we alleen koffie wilde pakken en genieten van het uitzicht. Ik had geboekt voor een Deluxe room met zeezicht , alleen de bedden waren veel ste klein en oud , Deluxe kan ik het zeker niet noemen , op de uitzicht na. Verder was het eten ruime keuze en smaakvol. Qua fruit was het elke dag hetzelfde met niet veel keuze. Juice bar en salade bar elke dag hetzelfde en niet veel keus. Spa was goed, massages waren goed. Kapper was erg amateuristisch voor een wasbeurt en blow dry, dit allemaal voor een 5 sterren resort hebben ze echt wel verbeterpunten. Bedden op het strand de asbakken werden niet echt schoongemaakt als we volgende ochtend weer onze handdoeken er wilde neerzetten. Ligging is erg mooi met mooie uitzicht, en op loopafstand van het centrum. Accommodatie is schoon en netjes. Personeel receptie inchecken en uitschenken vriendelijk.

Everything was perfect. I would just recommend a few things for the hotel 1. Have water stations by pools. It's very hot and we shouldn't be waiting in line for 10 minutes just to get water 2. You need more staff around the bar if the hotel is busy. I shouldn't wait 15 mins to get a drink. 3. The water in the pools is very cold and wasn't too enjoyable. 4. There should be more beer options on the all inclusive menu 5. The restaurants in the hotel should be accepting guests based on empty spaces and should be able to go every night and not one restaurants per week. If it is all inclusive I should be able to go to a restaurant as many times as I want during my stay and it shouldn't be through the app. 6. There should be a snack bar or even a few with real snacks, like sandwiches and crisps and chocolate. These are just some ideas so make the place even more perfect Thanks for everything

Das Essen war fantastisch! Wir haben ein nettes kostenloses Upgade zu einem „Sea View“ Zimmer erhalten. Leider werden die Pools nicht regelmässig gereinigt und daher hat es relativ viel Sand drin. Ausserdem wurde unser Zimmer wirklich nur grob oberflächlich gereinigt.

Yes, but...

Overall, we had a lovely time – a much-needed, relaxing family vacation that allowed us to recharge. The hotel is beautifully designed like a Greek village, charming and pleasant to walk around. There are plenty of pools, so there’s no need to fight over sunbeds by the main pool. The staff was (mostly) friendly, and the hotel itself is very clean, well-kept, and nicely maintained. The biggest downside for us was the food, which was, to put it mildly, not tasty. It’s honestly surprising that even something as simple as an omelet could turn out poorly… To be frank, this really affected our experience, especially since we couldn’t leave the hotel to eat elsewhere and had paid a significant amount to enjoy the “all-inclusive” package. The à la carte restaurants were somewhat better, but it was very frustrating to have to wake up early just to book a spot through the app in order to secure a place at the better ones. Another point that could be improved is the afternoon activities for kids – there weren’t enough engaging options to keep them entertained during those hours. That being said, the hotel itself is beautiful and relaxing, and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere, the pools, and the overall family time together. With improvements in the food and children’s activities, this could easily become a perfect vacation spot.

The best food in an all inclusive hotel that I think you will find in Crete. Every restaurant is actually special in its own way, and the service is exceptional. Will probably be back again sometime soon!
