A female receptionist is very rude

One day shift female receptionist is very rude and impolite! When I confirmed my booking, she turned up her nose and flipped our passports. It’s very rude! In addition, the rest receptionist have racism against the guests other than the white! When we checked out and departed, they help the whites carrying their luggage into the shuttle, but ignore us entirely.

J’avais réservé une chambre avec accès direct à la piscine principale. Première nuit horrible, un énorme bruit toutes les 10 secondes comme une porte qui claque et qui faisant vibrer le mur de mon lit et donc rendant mon sommeil quasi impossible, par fatigue je m’endors mais réveillé en permanence par ce boom. J’appelle la réception à 3h30 du matin, un technicien vient dans ma chambre, constate le bruit, me dit que ça vient de l’étage au dessus et part régler le problème. La réception me rappelle même pas 3min plus tard pour me dire qu’il n’a pas trouvé le problème et que l’on pourra me changer de chambre le lendemain. Je pense qu’ils connaissent parfaitement le problème et voit si ça passe avec les clients ou pas. J’ai pu changer de chambre le lendemain, upgrade dans une chambre supererieure avec piscine privée. Sans intérêt car pas de transat et c’est plus une grande baignoire qu’une piscine. D’autre part, j’ai prévenu l’hôtel à l’avance que j’avais fait une erreur de réservation en mettant une nuit en trop au départ, pas de remboursement possible mais on m’offre des couchers de réduction pour le spa (-20%) et pour la nourriture (-25%) sauf que ces promotions étaient déjà proposées à tous les clients de l’hôtel et non cumulables….bref Autre point négatif, grosse odeur d’égouts un peu partout dans l’hôtel et surtout les chambres. Point positif, la piscine du dernier étage avec une très belle vue et l’emplacement de l’hôtel proche de la plage, au calme et proche des restos

We had a good stay, the rooms were big and comfy and the staff was super friendly. But the cleaning was pretty poor in the rooms. Trash was left on the floor, no new soap in the dispenser, hair still left in the drain of the shower and the floor under the bed was very dirty. Besides from all of that, we had an amazing stay with the best staff, pools and breakfast buffet was great! One thing to mention, I booked the hotel knowing I had vip benefits such as 20% on drinks and food. To my surprise they offered everyone 25% on food and drinks in the hotel, which is nice of course! But it meant my vip benefits was worth nothing which doesn't make sense at all, then there's no reason to offer it in the first place.

Two thumbs up

Very friendly and accomodating staff. Checked in very early. Employee sat down and explained everythint perfectly to us. Room was great. Upstairs pool was an every day event. Very close 3 minute walk to beach and maybe 10 minutes to "town". If you dont feel like walking you can use grab for cheap. Really enjoyed our stay. Heard lots of weird stories from other travellers about places they were staying and happy with our choice. PS the roadside bar/restaurant next door to the hotel serves up cheap thai food and its delicious

A Relaxing Oasis...

My friend and I loved our stay here after a recommendation that did not dissapoint. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was perfect for what we needed. We liked that there was variety each day and made-to-order eggs. The pools were always clean and well kept. We weren't the biggest fans of the slushy cocktails, but the spirit mixers were good. The hotel was very well kept for a seaside stay. We had the premier pool-side room which was large and the balcony had a nice view. The view from the rooftop pools were stunning and very relaxing. The biggest thing worth mentioning is how professional and friendly the staff were. They always made us feel welcome.

Service, amenities, and overall room design was high quality. Especially the service. My main complaint is the wet mildew smell throughout the halls and rooms. In the hotel halls there were various accumulated puddles. They need to invest in better drainage or something. Aside from the smell, very positive and comfortable experience.

Blackouts

Was excited to stay at BlueSotel SMART with it being our first adults only hotel stay. Initially we were impressed by the room but that quickly was not the case. Only half the shower head worked due to what looked to be calcium buildup, so there was not much water pressure. There is a bathtub in the bathroom but when we turned on the faucet, the water literally trickled in. So it was not usable. It was however nice to have a balcony. Room was big and comfortable but some tiny ants by the water/coffee machine when we checked in. In the hallway there was cut outs in the ceiling, possible previous water leak? However, the worse part of it was the multiple blackouts at night we experienced. Two nights in a row, was watching tv to wind down and there were multiple black outs in a row. The first night 3 or 4 and the second night 2. I know it effected the whole hotels because the bright blue lights in front of the hotel cut off as well. Only gave the hotel a higher rating due to the staff being friendly.

Beautiful property

Beautiful hotel and pool. Loved the no kids aspect . Just 200 m to the beach and 5 minto the new night market area. Great breakfast and great friendly service.
