Djurvänligt hotell där hunden är en självklarhet. Sen den bästa frukosten jag varit med om på ett hotell. Hade allt man kan begära plus mycket mer. Här skall man ta en långfrukost.

Übernachten in Alken

Die Zimmer sind wohl alle neu gemacht,aber warum man dann noch die alten Duschkabinen einbaut ist mir ein Rätsel.Es gibt keine Stange für die Dusche ,die ist in einer Höhe von ca 1,4 m angebracht.Das ist ganz schlecht.Für einen Preis von 140 Euro die Nacht ist dieses Hotel einfach zu teuer

On the Mosel River

This hotel is situated with a beautiful view, right across the street from the Mosel River. We enjoyed sitting by the river on a bench with our drinks and watching the boats. And from our window we could see the castle on the hill. But we were disappointed with the room. Our first night we were given a room that was not clean (dust wads and hair in the floor and spiderwebs in the corners) with a disfunctional shower (shower doors were broken and shower didn’t drain). Also there was a loud barking dog in the next room. The next day they moved us to a better room, and it was clean with a working shower. They do have a restaurant, but it was all buffet-style self serve, which we don’t like. So we ate at other restaurants in the area.

Lovely stay

Only stayed one night when visiting the area with a family member. We had a friendly greeting and our host spoke English. It’s a pet friendly hotel as we had a small dog with us. The mattress and quality of the bedding were superb as was the Prija soap in the loo. Breakfast available for €18 but there is a bakery nearby (closed Wednesdays) for a cheaper option. Quiet area in a quaint village. Wifi did not work in the rooms only lobby area.

Staff was very friendly and hotel was nice. We were pleased about the location - we landed in Frankfurt and wanted to see Burg Eltz castle. The hotel is right by the water and has some nice restaurants within walking distance (traditional German cuisine and Döner!). The room was clean and met our needs for the night. Breakfast buffet was very good. We were pleased with our stay.

Gute Lage, nette Mitarbeiter und (bis aufs Bad) moderne Zimmer. Das Frühstück empfanden wir etwas zu teuer.

Zunächst könnten wir eine Stunde lang nicht einchecken, da das Computerprogramm der Rezeption nicht lief. Die Dame forderte uns auf im Restaurant Platz zu nehmen und uns am Kaffee zu bedienen. Es gab aber gar keinen Kaffee mehr. Die anderen Getränke, die wir bestellten müssten wir dann bezahlen. Unser Zimmer entsprach überhaupt nicht den Bildern im Netz. Die Bettwäsche hatte Löcher, der Teppich war dreckig, die Duschtasse und Duschkabine waren sehr dreckig. Die Matratze war so hart, dass die Hüften nachts schmerzten. Am Morgen war der Frühstücksraum überfüllt, das Personal kam mit dem Abräumen nicht hinterher. Man konnte die Hotelgäste nicht ausreichend bedienen und zusätzlich kamen noch Gäste von Außerhalb. Es gibt nur einen Kaffeeautomaten, an dem wir 10 Minuten für eine Tasse Kaffee anstanden. Es würde auch zu wenig Essen nachgelegt. Es würde zwischendurch kein benutztes Geschirr abgeräumt. Am Abend war es durch einen gut besuchten Billardtisch so laut, dass wir nicht zum Schlafen kamen. Alles in allem nicht zu empfehlen.

Superfreundliche Gastgeber!

Ganz freundlicher ‚Chef‘, der mir sogar angeboten hat, mich bei Dauerregen einfach zur zweiten Station des Moselcamino zu fahren. Auch die Dame an der Rezeption bei der Anreise war Mega freundlich. Toll: Getränke in der Minibar sind frei. Es gibt einen Begrüßungssnack. Zimmer schön, aber nicht ganz sauber und Wasser brauchte ewig bis es warm war. Nach einem regenreichen Wandertag nicht ideal, aber zu verschmerzen. Mir wurden Restaurants empfohlen - große Klasse. Frühstückszeitraum sehr lang und tolles Frühstück. Bisschen kalt im Frühstücksraum und Musik für meinen Geschmack etwas zu laut, aber alles noch ok. Mich hat begeistert, dass es Riegel gab. Ideal für Aktivurlauber zum Mitnehmen. Es sind so Kleinigkeiten, die einen Besuch besonders machen. Danke. Kann es nur empfehlen.
