I called the hotel and stated I was going to be late. We got to the hotel around midnight. The room smelled of pee. I asked for some febreze and sprayed the room. The desk offered to move us to the second floor but I just wanted to sleep. House keeping knocked at our door at 8 am and apologized said they would be back.

Good Stay - Room for Improvement

The breakfast was great. The walls were thin and we could hear the family next door as though they were in our room. The exercise room was tiny, no fan, missing weights, old equipment. Nice location near lots of restaurants, shopping and the UW.

We came for a Badger game. Unexpectedly the hotel had a shuttle, which was great. Parking was fine. The breakfast was just OK. The room wasn't dirty per se, but there were a fair number of hairs in the bathroom. They probably told us at some point there wouldn't be service while we were out (2 day stay), but it was still an ugh moment when we opened the door. The biggest thing was the hotel just seemed beat run down. The bottom of the bathroom door was badly chipped, the toilet paper holder was broken, the sink aerator didn’t work and the water blasted out. The elevator walls were dented and scraped, and there were stains in the hallway carpet. It wasn't horrible, but I ended regretting having prepaid, and wishing I could move somewhere else the second night.

Breakfast doesn't start until 7am which is not beneficial for anyone working and leaving by 7am. Pool was good but hit tub jets only partially worked. The TV remote was terrible and the lamp on the desk kept flickering when you bumped the desk or walked by and it was in the outlet securely (so likely an electrical issue with the cord.) Overall, it was decent but out dated. Fairly clean and good location.
