Location and staff are the best part. Small rooms… even for Tokyo’s standard.

If it's an emergency stay for one night, it might be ok. The staff is friendly and basic amenities are provided. Asakusabashi station is practically on the doorstep.
The reasons why I will not book at Hotel Mercury again are:
The entrance and reception only accessible via a spiral staircase to the basement which is a challenge with suitcases. The corridors are bare with lots of damage and the atmosphere is cold and uninviting. The rooms are poorly air-conditioned, the furnishings are outdated and worn and unfortunately my room smelled of the same. I couldn't enter the bathroom at first because the smell of toilet was very strong. The internet was unstable, the temperature of the shower was a game of skill and the rooms were very noisy. I would advise women in particular not to book.
