Stone Town Charm

Stayed at the apartment with access to the main hotel facilities. The room was spacious, furniture was a bit dated but I guess that helps to maintain the charm of the hotel. The shower had no door and nowhere for us to put our shower accessories. It seems to be newly renovated bit there were some minor issues that was taken care of promptly. The service at this hotel was impeccable! The doormen always ensured we were safe and taken care of. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had at any hotel. The beach was nice and I loved that we got to see local life- not too touristy. Overall a very good stay here.

This hotel is separated into two buildings with the second one a bit of a walk away from the main hotel and no views of the ocean. It’s a bit loud at night and outdated but worked for the price.

Roboni 5+

Väldigt bra service, framförallt av Roboni som hjälpte oss med att boka taxi och utflykter till ett bra pris. Frukosten stor men något ensidig, inte den bästa. Det serveras inte alkohol i restaurangen men helt ok mat. Väldigt gott om solstolar, två pooler och ligger precis på stranden. Lugnt och fridfullt trots att det ligger mitt i smeten.

Väldigt bra service från personalen. Prisvärd för att stanna en natt på genomresa. Man får vad man betalar för. Krångligt att ställa in AC. Boendet ligger 2-3min gång från det riktiga hotellområdet. Lite svårt att ta sig dit och det finns inga hissar.

Great place, excellent staff, great rooms

I have earlier made a review, this thime is the same, i extended as i liked the place and what they can offer, great breakfast, spacious rooms, and use of the main hotels swimming pool and all other that is there. is a short distance away, but definatly worth it

B&B Great place, excellent staff, Recommended

Tembo B&B is a distance from the reception and main hotel, but easy to walk, great breakfast included, very friendly staff and very good rooms. is not marked on outside, so first time could be a bit difficult to find the door. I liked the place and you can use all the swimmingpools and more at the main hotel. I would deinatly use Tembo again. Recommended.

Loved our stay at the tempo b&b! The staff was amazing, especially the two men that helped us with our bags to the room. The dining room is right on the beach so you can have your breakfast staring out at the ocean. From our studio room, we were on the top floor and had a nearly 360 degree water view and we were right in the middle of the touristy part of town. The only confusing part is that you check in at the main Tempo Hotel - but they help you get your bags to the b&b which is maybe a two minute walk!

Mein Freund und ich waren sehr zufrieden im Tembo. Die Lage ist zentral, alles ist zu Fuß super zu erreichen. Das Personal sowohl im Hotel an sich als auch im Restaurant ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber und die Betten sind bequem. Das Haupthaus mit Pool und Restaurant ist ebenfalls ein super Ort um sich vom Gewusel der belebten Stadt zu erholen. Wir haben über das Hotel einen Guide für 15€ p.P. gebucht, welcher uns die Stadt, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt hat. Dabei konnten wir sehr viel über die Geschichte von Sansibar lernen, weshalb ich diese Tour wirklich empfehlenswert finde. Zusammengefasst kann man also sagen, wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden immer wieder kommen.

The staff was so warm and accommodating. They helped us with every request needed. I particular appreciated them escorting us back to the apartment at night to ensure we got to the room safely. I would highly recommend Tembo Hotel/Apartments to other guests.

Economical

Nice hotel in the main area of Stone Town. The B&B was close to the main hotel and for half the price it was worth the short walk for breakfast and the pool. It’s right on the beach as well which is nice to watch the sunset at night. The apartments were a bit noisy at night but overall a nice place. They have an airport pick up which was easy and a short drive. Laundry service was available as well. Only note is that the gentleman who supported the B&B was pushy about getting us on a tour or using their taxi services despite being told we didn’t need assistance.
