The hotel was a bit rundown and could have used a good cleaning . Food was mid to low end, drinks were good, bar staff friendly, night desk staff were adequate . Bathroom floor tile was dirty and no room clean up. The outside had a police watch with a loud speaker , spot light and siren . Not my most favorite place I have stayed

The room was very good. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Only issue was the shower - pressure was very weak and not a great experience. Over all its fine and as expected.

Way out of date sandman

I feel like key card elevators in a small place like lethbridge is absurd. It’s inconvenient and sometimes takes a few tries to work. The hotel is also extremely outdated. The sandman hotels I’ve stayed in before were up to date and keep up with current needs for guests. This hotel looks like it’s falling apart. A friend came over and they said they hadn’t been to this hotel in over 15 years and it still looks exactly the same. That’s not a good thing to me. Upgrades should have been done years ago. Flies and ladybugs were always in my washroom despite the window never being open. The ceiling looked disgusting like there was water damage years ago and it never got fully fixed to look more aesthetically appealing. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because hotel staff were lovely and my bed was comfortable enough. I just wish I stayed in a place that felt more like a hotel instead of a motel

Nice hotel

Stayed here many times. Older hotel, rooms are good size, clean and comfortable. Elevators are a bit creaky. Convenient location on Mayor Magrath Dr. Attached to small strip mall. Has pool and lounge. Dennys restaurant is attached to hotel which is convenient.

Dilapidated property

Every day our key cards had to be reprogrammed and we got chided for daring to put them in our purse or wallet. The bathroom was very dated; the wallpaper was peeling; the toilet rocked like a teeter totter. It took several minutes of running the hot water tap to get water that was just warm. The fridge temperature control knob was broken off; fridge was too warm to conserve food or chill drinks. Internet connection showed full strength but there was no signal associated with it. There was new carpet in the room and hallways but in the hallways it was never vacuumed while we were there. Very noisy on Friday night, complaint to front desk did not resolve the issue. Room door rattled in its frame even when fully locked. Paint splatter everywhere. Just not a nice room.

The property and staff at the hotel were great. Prior to check in within the allotted time period the flight was changed to arrive a day later. I spent some time making sure the room was changed to arrive a day later with the Expedia and the hotel themselves. I was told I would be refunded the one night - I am still waiting for this refund as per the promise. At this time I won’t use Expedia again if this is not taken care of
