They fit a lot into this compact resort! Location and room view of the beach and pier was amazing.The staff were incredible. Upon entry to leaving, everyone was extremely kind, helpful. They offered car service upon hearing we needed an uber (their Lucid was cool). Loved the water service station on each floor. The pool is small by resort standards if you are imagining Hawaii or similar, but for Santa Monica, it’s likely one of the best under four digits a night. Our main issue was the room AC wasn’t cooling the room and we were there at peak heat. They’ve certainly had this fixed by now. They quickly brought a fan which was helpful but only operated on low speed. There is a hopping club out front which was fun to hear from our balcony as we looked out at the Santa Monica pier with drinks at the end of the night. The door was very effective at eliminating the music when we were ready to turn in. If you really want to avoid any club sounds or sights, just ask for a room facing the pool side which most will also have views of the sunset I’m guessing. The room was nice, bed was very comfortable. They allowed us to have our room prior to 3pm because it was ready and a noon check out is more civilized than most hotels at 11am.

Great location but noisy bar and indifferent staff
Location is great-lots of restaurants and activities within walking distance. At check-in, front desk staff had indifferent attitude and didn’t tell us about the amenities even when asked. Bellman/valets are hit-or-miss proactive at opening doors or asking to assist. We were told that they’re “outsourced”
If you are on the south side, be prepared for lots of loud music and screaming from the open-air bar downstairs. Hard to sleep even from 9th floor with all that noise. Front desk receptionist didn’t really care. Had to speak with manager and director to get someone who cared, but also am wondering how much ownership really cares since the bar probably makes them a lot of money from booze. Not like the hotel opened last month.
Parts of the property are dated, especially the bathroom.
View from other side of building not nearly as nice.
Hard to say I would spend this much to stay here again, especially if noise issues aren’t resolved.

Fairmont Weekend
Spa and room service were excellent.
Rooms are dated for the price.
Marijuana smell on our floor in the hallway very bad.
Restaurant service was just ok yet they automatically add a min 20% gratuity plus ask for more. This was not room service which we understand they have service charges
Overall not what we expected for a Fairmont.

La piscine est toute petite pour un hôtel qui est très grand, les Chambres ont peut-être une vingtaine d’années. Si ce n’est pas 30. Il n’y a pas une seule bouteille d’eau ni un mini barre dans la chambre l’hôtel ne donne pas du tout sur la plage il faut traverser une route à cinq voies et ensuite descendre cinq escaliers voilà la réalité

Fig Tree is WONDERFUL.
I begun to stay with this hotel since the year of 1983. Since then there were no improvement with the facilities of the hotel. The service qualty are going down since Miramar hotel, Miremar Sheraton and then Fairmont Miramar Hotel days gradually. The only good thing is seeing the big Fig Tree in front of the lobby is growing healthy.

Place needs some upkeep, wallpaper peeling, carpet frayed and worn, pool and hot tub are tiny, but staff made up for not so great environment. Very helpful

Valet on proper entrance was good but $70. for valet is too much for guests.
Rooms need updating and two small pillows for each bed is not enough for guest comfort.

Det er et gammelt hotell og det kan vel klassifiseres som gammeldags luksus. Hotellet var fint nok det og det manglet ikke på hverken på spisesteder eller hjelp fra hotellansatte. For oss, en familie på 4 (2 voksne og 2 tenåringer) så ble kanskje ikke helt som vi så for oss. Jeg hadde nok satt dette som et 4+ hotell. Merk at alt er dyrt på hotellet. Beliggenheten er derimot helt ypperlig.
