Good Location
Victor, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A very comfortable and clean hotel with a nice welcome. Very convenient for the Gare de Lyon.

Very small room. I wouldn’t stay more than one night if I ever stayed there again.

Although this hotel promised to be a charmingly typical old station hotel in a city centre, it was in need of refurbishment. The room was tired and gloomy, although everything worked. Considering the price we paid, I think we would have been more comfortable at one of the big chain hotels, of which there is no shortage in the surronding streets,

Basic but fine for a short stay

Quite basic but fine for one night, and perfectly located for Gare de Lyon if like me you have an early train to catch. Lots of good bars and restaurants also within easy walking distance. The room was quiet at night (in spite of the nightlife on a weekend), and clean, which is the most important thing (bonus points for having a hard floor, much more hygienic than a carpet that probably never gets deep cleaned, like in most British hotels). I was surprised that no toiletries were supplied (apart from a bar of soap) and the bathroom was dated, but overall fine for one night, and the staff were friendly.

10/10 Exceptional

Cute little place just down the road from Gare de Lyon. We only stayed one night, but the staff was pleasant, the room was small, but clean and quiet, the shower was excellent (enough water pressure even in the upper floors, which is not that common in old buildings), and you’ll find the little “bistrot” for your typical french breakfast right on the way to the next Metro station (I never book breakfast, it’s mostly not worth the money and you will find much better food and a more unique atmosphere outside of your hotel, especially in Paris). IMHO the perfect place to stay, as you are not going to spend much time in your room anyway, apart from sleeping and showering.

8/10 Very good

The room is a bit dated, but overall clean. The floorboards outside of the washroom in my room had some water damage so it was very difficult to close the washroom door. The location of the hotel is really good because it’s close to Gare de Lyon and other stations so very convenient if you need to take the subway/train. There’s also a lot of restaurants nearby, that being said, it’s not too loud at night. Staff was nice, front desk was available 24/7 so it’s good if you’re arriving late or expecting an early train. You do have to leave your key card at the front desk when you leave the hotel, but it’s not really a problem.
