4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Beijing
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Beijing is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to discover key landmarks and cultural attractions, such as historical sites, museums, temples, and monuments. With the possibility of prices dropping during these months, it’s a great value for money for travellers on a budget seeking to immerse themselves in the vibrant heritage of Beijing.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Beijing, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel options as your travel date approaches. To enhance your chances of snagging a bargain, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, you can utilise Smart Shopping , a comparison tool available via the app, to help you compare hotel prices and amenities. This way, you'll be promptly notified of any changes in availability or pricing, making it easier to book a last-minute getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Beijing hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and, on occasion, better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Beijing's superb public transport network, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
