Good location close to Great Smoky Mountain

The hotel locates about 15 minutes from Great Smoky Mountain and a lot of interesting areas around, we can easily find restaurants nearby and a shopping mall is not far away.The room is not so new but well maintained (I dont mean old, just you can feel its not so new...); overall speaking this is a pleasuant stay.

I found the hotel to be average. The hotel could have been cleaner. The elevators were consistently dirty with dustballs and old gum stuck to the floor. We used the indoor pool and found a dirty diaper with fecal material floating in the vent on the side of the pool we were grossed out by this and never used the inside pool again. The out door pool was okay. The hot tub was full of scum suds and there was food floating around inside. That was a turn off. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water and clean towels, good soaps shampoo and body wash. The breakfast was typical food you find at a hotel breakfast, industrial but fresh. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. Hotel is close to all the attractions.

It turns out this hotel was under construction during our stay. This was a huge disappointment. Within minutes my husband was notified that the pool would be closed for the next 3 days for painting. We have young children; that is one of the things they look forward to at a hotel is the pool. We were able to swim the first day, but the pool water was disgusting. The water was green with a film on top. It looked like a pond. The lobby was half covered by a tarp hanging from the ceiling the entire time. The floors were always covered in dirt and debris.
