We booked Bay View Apartments for our last night in Iceland to be close to the airport. It is indeed close, just 12 minutes away by car. What we didn’t realize was how absolutely gorgeous this rental would be. It was totally luxurious; every room was impeccable, totally comfortable, beautifully crafted, and the design was top notch. Excellent value for money. Everyone in the family quickly decided that we only wish we had spent 2 full days there, to soak in the tub and stare at the sea. There is a grocery store close and the nearby town Keflavík has restaurants. The owner was very responsive by phone and came over quickly to show us how to fully open the windows. We’re all still dreaming of this rental.

It was in a beautiful setting. When we checked in, we immediately went out to look at the bay and saw whales. The next morning, while sitting in the hot tub, we saw whales and dolphins. What a beautiful view. We can’t wait to return to this property. The inside is immaculate and super modern. We loved our stay!!!

I would highly recommend the Bay View Apartment when considering places to stay in Iceland. My friends and I stayed in the villa and couldn’t be happier. From the excellent communication (sending a welcome message, checking in and asking if there was anything we needed, and bidding us a farewell), to the beautiful interior and spacious floor plan…the villa had it all. The beds were comfortable, the rain shower relaxing, and it has a washer and dryer! The only criticism we had is that we wished there was a bit more air circulation inside. Overall though, we couldn’t be happier with our stay.

This is a fantastic apartment . I wish I knew to stay here instead of Reykjavik. Very easy drive and a very different experience . This place is just magical !!! Worth the drive 40 mins from Reykjavik. So perfect !

We loved everything about Bay View Apartments. It’s stylish, has incredible views and the indoor hot tub overlooking the water was awesome. The beds were incredibly comfortable. I just wished we could have stayed longer.

Gorgeous apartment with amazing view

Bay View Apartments was amazing! Check-in was simple, the neighborhood is quiet, and the view can't be beat. The space was beautiful with lovely furniture and décor, a giant, clean hot tub inside the bathroom (!!), a good shower, awesome kitchen, living room, and laundry room. The bedrooms were also lovely. I wish I would have stayed here longer!

Truly amazing place. I would highly recommend staying here. Everything was clean, organized and incredibly well thought out space. Communication was easy and quick - they even allowed us a late check out with no issues. My only complaint would be that we didn't stay here longer. It maybe a bit out of the way but SO worth the drive.

We spent our last night in Iceland with a night at the Bay View Apartments and it was a perfect way to end the trip. The apartment itself is beautiful. The view was gorgeous and everything was immaculate and also extremely comfortable. Having a nice long soak in the tub overlooking the bay was just exactly what we needed after many active days exploring the country. The hosts were very kind and detailed in their instructions and the whole experience from check in to check out was seamless. The apartment is very convenient to the airport (while feeling a world away from the hustle and bustle) and there are some interesting sights around if you are spending time in the area. I would love to come back some day!

Our stay in Iceland was nothing short of magical, and this property was the cherry on top. Every single detail was perfect — from the cozy, super-comfy bed to the dreamy hot tub under the stars. The shower was next-level amazing (seriously, we’re still thinking about it), and the hot water kettle was so great we bought one when we got home! The location couldn’t have been better — nestled in the most charming and friendly little community. It felt peaceful, picturesque, and perfectly Icelandic. The house had everything we needed and more, making it feel like a home away from home. We’re already dreaming about our next visit — hopefully to catch the Northern Lights. Can’t wait to come back!

Such a beautiful apartment! It was luxurious and so comfortable. It was close to the airport and close enough to be able to drive to site see. I saw a whale off shore right from the apartment as well as the Northern lights from the hot tub. It couldn't have been more perfect! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Cool modern place by the sea

Really cool modern place. The “spa/mini pool” was heated for when we arrived, and the view over the sea was amazing. We got up early to watch the sunset from the spa/mini pool”. The host was available for contact allways.

The area is quiet and near the airport. There is a small shop nearby. The hot tub view overlooking the sea is beautiful. The property is very nice and well maintained. You need a car to get around the area.
