The place was an amazing stay, the only issue is that the hotel does not honor the discounted price on Expedia. Both times I've made a reservation, and they used the hotel's set prices and disregarded the discount offered on Expedia. For example: Expedia said it was cheaper a night and its a flash deal, but when you arrive, the price is either $7-9 more expensive than mentioned on the site(depending on if you go Sun-Thurs or Fri/Sat). It's not much, but still I could've found a place that actually offered the discounted price per night instead of being bamboozled when I'm tired from traveling all day. Also, when you book on Expedia, they require you to pay in person, so realistically, you were lied to and never actually going to get the discounted price in the first place. I hate to have to make this review despite everything else being good. I just wish there was honesty and transparency, not a trick just to get me to book with them.

Insanely loud drumming and music from the house or bar next door. Sounded like it was in the. Not very relaxing. The hotel needs to post that on Orbitz so potential customers are warned. Water in the shower changes temperatures from scorching hot to warm back and forth.

Poor Service and Bright Light in Room / No Sleep

I made a reservation on Holtels.com for this hotel because it was conveniently located and the price seemed reasonable for the location. I took a risk staying at this hotel because the hotel had no reviews. After checking in and going to my assigned room, I realized there was a loud band playing next door, and I wanted to rest for a couple of hours. I asked if my room could be moved. I was moved to another room, but the music was just as loud. I merely opened and closed the doors of both rooms and I could hear the band loudly and clearly (thin walls). I went down to the front desk, and the woman said there were no refunds as I wanted to stay elsewhere. I tried my best to fall asleep that night, and the room was incredibly bright. It was as though the sun was shining in the window. The windows have no curtains, and there is a light just outside of the room that is really bright (from the hotel, and not an from a source from off of the property. I asked once again at the front desk if there was anything I could do, and they said there was nothing they could do. Why they have no curtains on their windows is beyond me considering how bright the room was at night. I put a blanket over my head to block the bright light, but I was cold because I had no blanket. I got zero sleep. There are so many inexpensive hotels in Tijuana for the same price or even cheaper than Hotel Santa Fe. I would recommend not wasting your time with this hotel, even if the price seems reasonable.
