Beware the false advertising. There is no breakfast served on site. You are handed a voucher and expected to walk 4 blocks in the cold morning foggy weather to a small bakery inside of a strip mall where the service is poor to those with the vouchers versus the regular customers Who ordered more. You are only allowed one option: scrambled eggs, or French toast or oatmeal or Belgian Waffles served Very plain With a sprinkle of cut up fruits. No choice of juice or espresso. Just a cup of plain coffee or tea. Disappointed to say the least for the amount of money paid. The property itself was pretty, but dated with rickety old stairs. The gardens were beautiful with Spring flowers, and roses. The room Itself had nice Victorian era decor, and a clawfoot tub. But gone are the days of be and be run with warm, friendly owners and breakfast served on site. You are greeted by a college-aged staff member who was polite, but did not provide much info other than the standard code for the rooms and the voucher. Btw pictures on Expedia are misleading. There is a picture of Filoli Gardens, which is located in Woodside California and they also used a “stock photo” Of a full breakfast complete with orange juice, coffee, and a lavish spread. Disappointed to say the least.
