Nice hotel in a good locality.
The hotel is very easy to find - located on the road. Tesco fuel station is located quite near the hotel and there is also a convenience store nearby. Sufficient parking was available, both at the front and rear. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. Food was amazing, with large portions. The four waterfalls are just a 15 minute drive from the hotel.

Pleasant weekend stay - clean and good food
This was our first stay at The Lamb & Flag whilst visiting family in Neath. Overall, it was a good one - parking on site, large garden, good evening meal (huge portion sizes!). We had a friendly welcome, the room was clean and a good size with complimentary water, a kettle and condiments. The bathroom was clean with a shower cubicle (very low water pressure though) and there were a selection of toiletries. It was a pleasant, comfortable night's sleep - but would recommend getting black out blinds as we were woken early as it was so bright and found it hard to get back to sleep - then we missed breakfast as we didn't get downstairs until 9.55am and chef was preparing for their Sunday carvery. We were offered bacon sandwiches and coffee. Overall, we would recommend and would come back.

2/10 Poor
6 July 2022
Poor customer service and very noisy - no sleep
Terrible stay, loud music until late at night from the pub below, very close to a main road and there were motorbikes racing up and down the road (no suitable sound proofing in the room).
Worse than the above, we had booked for 2 nights, decided it was best with the experience to cancel the 2nd night and stay somewhere else. Called the hotel on the morning to advise them of this and verbally agreed at that time that a refund would be given for that night. A week later no refund arrived, called the hotel to be told that they wouldn't give a refund.
Terrible customer service, certainly would not book here again as no chance of a good nights sleep and dis-honest staff going back on a promise of a refund.
