8/10 Good

Close to airport and available for late check in

8/10 Good

It was a good place to stay overnight prior to catching a plan at the PVR airport. Also located on the PVR marina which allows for a nice walk and many good restaurants for the day. Didn't have Kleenex or hand wash towel and not tub. Easy check in and staff were courteous and efficient.

10/10 Excellent

It was overall a good experience, this hotel is pretty much what you need if you want to save up money. The only thing I'd complain about is the couch which looked very old. The room was spacious with a pretty view to the green areas of the hotel and a small balcony where you can sit and have breakfast. The elevator looks old but it works perfectly, only 4 people can get in. Other than that, staff were nice and attentive. I didn't eat at the bar/restaurant that they have, so I don't know how expensive/economic it is. I'd suggest to use Didi Food or Uber eats if you're looking for cheaper options to eat. Also if you want to go to the Romantic zone or any other area of Vallarta, I'd suggest Didi since it usually has lots of discounts and you get to pay less than Uber.

Would be nice to have a small fridge in the room.

Nice option

This is an old Mexican hotel so it is not modern, but quaint. We found it clean and well maintained. Instead of the all inclusive option, there are many restaurants close to access. You can’t expect perfection, because it’s Mexico, after all. Also, bring along a dictionary or translation app, as English is NOT their first language. We loved every part of that!

6/10 Okay

The location of this property is perfect, you are steps away from the marina and literally dozens of excellent restaurants and shops. There is no need to book this hotel as an "all inclusive", as you would be loosing out on all the great restaurants around you. The property is nice but the rooms are dull and awkward. The hallway that leads to all the rooms can be very noisy when people are coming/going and that noise echo into the rooms. Would recommend getting a room on the 5th floor to ease the noise. Staff is friendly but they don't seem to know or promote what is going on at the hotel, for example every Friday night they have a dinner and small market. At no time, did we realize we could participate as a "non-all inclusive" guest. Would recommend for a short stay and the price is very reasonable, given the great location.

2/10 Terrible

Careful with this hotel they stole my money!

I don’t recommend this hotel. I made a reservation and when I got there they told me my reservation was cancelled. I had never cancelled it and I had actually booked it a day before my trip. So there was no way I had cancelled. On Hotels.com it mentioned my hotel was booked and money was charged. It was a no refundable reservation so they obviously just wanted to steal my money because I had proof. They did not try to fix the issue they kept saying it was through the agency I booked with that it was cancelled. But yet I had all proof it was still ACTIVE.

This was our second stay at the Flamingo. They have friendly and accommodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, are reasonably priced with well-kept pool/grounds. Close to the marina with some excellent restaurant choices (Brando’s and Route 66 are 2 favourites) and also easy to catch a bus to downtown PV. Would highly recommend.
