Pleasantly surprised!
Lovely staff, we had a couple of minor issues with our room but the staff went out of their way to resolve the problems. We were very impressed with our accommodation.

One Night Stay
Overnight stay as attended function at hotel. Check-in was efficient and quick and even though were early (230pm) and expecting to leave bags and check in at 3pm, staff booked us in straight away.
Room was clean and well appointed so has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Only issue here was wifi, which is free, was a bit hit and miss. May just be because we were on the top floor and at the back of the hotel as it kicked in fully as we got closer to front of the hotel but it didn't impact on our stay.
Suppose the only negative things I have is it is definitely worth doing some investigation regards price as there was quite a difference between the hotels price and what was available online (£100 online-£170 hotel) and then you will probably have to add £20pp for breakfast.
Also, you can access the hotel through the hotels bar Hudsons (which is worth a visit) but only as long as no doorman is on!!!!
I tried to enter the hotel around 17.30ish through Hudsons after doing some shopping as it gives quicker access instead of having to walk round the corner and then walk back on yourself inside the hotel to access the lifts to the rooms.
Door Supervisor on Hudsons entrance, point blank refused to allow me accessthrough Hudsons to the hotel even though I informed him I was staying at the hotel

Stuffy room
Had a nice day here and the location was great right opposite the train station . Only downfall was the room was to hot and it was October and the heating wasn’t on and no aircon only a fan , wouldn’t stay here in the summer as it must be unbearable

Great location and lovely hotel. Staff are very friendly. We had a suite which was spacious and clean with a really comfy bed. The windows were facing onto Westgate Road but was not noisy at all.

Don’t pay for the breakfast go to Wetherspoons
We’ve stayed here a lot and each time the room has been spacious. However this time it was terrible. There was not enough room between the wardrobe and bed. We had to squeeze past it. But the worst was the breakfast. We paid £15 each. There was no bacon no sausage we had to ask for milk, the toast didn’t toast, tea was like water even though it had 2 tea bags in and I had stirred it. The coffee was like tar even though we asked for a weak coffee. When I waited for bacon the chef only cooked 4 rashers which went rather quickly so I gave up! Our friends had their breakfast round the corner at Wetherspoons and paid £13 for 2 small breakfast with unlimited coffee. I would stay again but I definitely will not be paying for the breakfast.
