Lots of things are really good about this hotel and it could really blow Travel Lodge and PI out of the water. Better facilities, bigger rooms, cheaper and massively comfortable beds. However, this place has one fatal flaw, (apart from no heating)it hasn’t got soft close doors so all you hear and feel, all night is banging and crashing.

This hotel is in a lovely district of London. The staff are friendly and really helpful. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The only quibbles are the lack of an outlook, but it is quiet as a result, and the entry is bland.

Location is excellent right in the heart of London. So easy to take the bus, underground and train to everywhere. Both checking in and out were pretty fast. Since our flight out is not until 9:30 pm, the hotel stored our luggage for us at no extra charges so we can do some more sightseeing on our last day in London. Our room is facing Southampton street so we sometimes could hear the street noises late at night but I just put on my ear plugs and had no problem sleeping.

About a 5 min walk from Russell square station, decent location. Not as close to Oxford Street as I thought but still within walking distance. No fridge in the room, open closets and the only downfall was the carpet smelt weird. The beds are comfy, the shower is inside the tub and has that half glass door which can be comfy inconvenient with water splashing out but this is common in most hotels in london and the water pressure was good.
