Dear Best Western Highbury, I recently stayed at your property from December 4, 2024 to December 7, 2024 in room 312. While I was initially looking forward to a pleasant stay, I am disappointed by several issues that negatively impacted my experience: Non-functional TV: The television in my room did not work, even after a staff member spent over 10 minutes attempting to fix it. This left me without one of the amenities I expected during my stay. Uncomfortable Room Temperature: The room was exceptionally warm, making it difficult to rest or relax comfortably. When I inquired at the reception about lowering the heat, I was informed there was no way to adjust it. Given these inconveniences, I feel the conditions did not align with the level of service promised by your establishment. I kindly request a refund or a partial reimbursement for my stay. Clean but noisy
Staff helpful. Room like a sauna even when radiator turned off. There was aircon unit would not switch on. Bath towels really small. Walls really thin you can hear everything. Area not great especially after dark did not feel safe walking to shops after dark as groups of men just hanging around shops and lots of homeless people asking for money constantly.

The only thing we disliked about the facility was the slippery shower floor. It was so slippery that it felt downright dangerous. Rubber shower floor mats would help.

We were staying for two nights for a family break. The family room was adequately sized - the beds took up almost all the space, but that was fine as we didn't spend much time in the room. The beds themselves were very comfortable with clean linens. There was no wardrobe, just a rail with some hangers, which was sufficient. The small bathroom had an excellent shower and was very clean. The TV was limited with many channels not available, but we managed to find some. Overall the room was very good and the only thing that was not so great was that the safe had an dirty baby's milk bottle in it, which smelled bad. Breakfast was ok. Several cereals, juice, yoghurt, small plates of ham and cheese, toast, sausages, bacon, scrambled egg (possibly the instant stuff as wasn't flavoursome), plum tomatoes, mushrooms (unpleasant) and pastries (the packaged kind, not fresh). Machine coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping noticed we were using earplugs and left us some fresh ones on Saturday (there were 3 of us in a room with 2 snorers, plus there was traffic noise from an open window as the aircon was too fierce). The hotel is opposite Finsbury Park and the area immediately around the hotel is ok. The underground station is a 12 min walk and the closer you get to the station the dirtier it gets. Lots of rubbish and folx hanging around. I was with my husband and son and we came back from a show late Saturday. I may have felt on edge had I been a lone female.
