"We stayed at this hotel for two nights in May.
Upon arrival after 4 PM, our room wasn't ready, and we were asked to wait another 15 minutes. Although I was tired, I was happy to enjoy the sun and warmth, especially compared to the weather in Sintra. This was our penultimate stop in Portugal before finishing our vacation and returning to Canada.
The biggest disappointment was the hotel's layout. When we booked the package, we thought it was a single building. As it turns out, there are two: one stands right on the beach, and the second is about 500 meters inland. If this had been clearly stated, we would have been prepared, but it was quite a letdown.
The rest of the issues became apparent during our stay:
The Safe: The safe in the room is very old; I didn't think hotels still used safes that require a physical key. Elevators: Only one elevator seemed to work at a time (out of two). They kept switching the "Out of Order" signs from one to the other, even though they had just been working. Since the hotel was busy and the elevators are small (hard to fit more than 4 people), we mostly used the stairs. Amenities: I haven't seen a hairdryer like that in a long time—it felt very outdated. Also, there are almost no shelves in the bathroom to conveniently place personal toiletries. EV Charging: The parking was large and convenient with two lots available. However, the EV charger did not work. I tried two different mobile apps, but neither could locate it."
