Apparently my "host" did not properly ensure reservation and when managemenr from the hotel called- he did not go out of his way to makw sure i had a room!!! I had to pay for my own separate reservation out of pocket. The management qas understanding and gave me a room upgrade for the same price-NOT through expedia. I was told i also have to call expedia for my refund. As i tried to handle it through the a.i. chat, looks like i will have to call.

Halloween Horror Nights Horror
I arrived at the westgate Villas resort in Orlando after 1 am after both calling and messaging them to let them know we’d be arriving late. No problem they said. However, when we arrived, they had no record of my booking which was done earlier the day before. By the time we got into our room it was 3 am, I had to pay for the room again (directly to the hotel) and they gave me a one bedroom for 6 people instead of the 2 bdrm I booked. I had to return to the front desk to exchange rooms, and was told to come back before 10 am to see if the hotels.com booking had come through. It hadn’t so I had to pay for the second night directly to the hotel (having already paid at time of booking). Seems the wholesale company that books third party reservations didn’t send the booking through to Westgate and they couldn’t reach the company. I filed a request for reimbursement to Hotels.com and sent the receipts for the $500+ I had to pay on Oct 14 and still isn’t resolved. I am a platinum member of Hotels.com but I guess that means nothing anymore. 😞😞
