Country charm in an American hotel chain
We came in late, and the hotel called to make sure we got there before 11 pm to get best service. The Best Western was modest but comfortable, including very comfortable beds! The breakfast was charming French style. The inn was situated next to a small river, so pretty, with ample parking across the street in a dirt lot. Again, simple but not common for a French hotel in a small town. The room rates were low, but the hotel was very pleasant, well run and functional, a lot for the price

The room has no air conditioner so that we have to open window at night. However the party in next building ended at very late and so disturbing. Apart from it, the room is nice and the staffs are very nice and helpful.

Good area with great in-house dining
The location of the hotel suited us perfectly for the places that we wanted to visit. Great boulangeries in the town - the market on Tuesday morning was great. Culture and language differences proved a problem with certain staff members as they couldn’t understand certain things. Our visit was around the DDay celebrations and it certainly felt like it was that period of time as the sugar, tea, coffee and toilet paper were heavily rationed. Whilst we opted not to have our room cleaned each day ( in terms of the hotels “green” policy), we had to keep on asking for these things and then were only given 2 sugars at a time. We were however very impressed with the service provided by Tom and Nicola(the gentleman serving drinks and meals) who went out of their way to be very efficient and helpful. Pity the rest of the staff couldn’t match their standards.

Mount st michel
Definitely an overnight hotel if you are visiting mt st Michel since the location is very close. Nothing to do in that town so get some dinner before you spend the night. Parking is great across the street. Breakfast very good too.

Ducey Best Western was a great stay. The staff were polite, courteous, helpful and patient with our language barrier. We had a AMAZING dinner on our first night prepared by their in-house chef. Our second-floor window opened on to the river which was picturesque. The village itself is small and quiet, with cafes, bars, restaurants and groceries walking distance from the hotel. This is an old building in a smallnold town. But its close (15km) from Mont St Michel, which is why I was there. Parking was good - free and across the road. They've done a great job turning it into a small hotel. The food that came out of the kitchen while it wasn't what I had ordered, was fantastic and I throughly enjoyed it. And their beers. Amazing. Thw only downside to the food is that it had to be ordered well in advance and inhsd to schedule my dinner time when I checked in that evening. Odd, but not really a big deal. The room was small, but spacious enough to move around in and overal was comfortable. Bed was so/so although I've come to realize that most beds in Europe seem to be on the harder side. The pillows sucked. They were close to rocks. Thats really the only thing that brought the rating down from a 5. It sounds like a small thing.. but those hard pillows would probably keep me from staying there again... but some dont mind that and everything else was great.

Great place to experience the French countryside
Great service, fast check in. Rep was very helpful with providing local information. In the very small town of Ducey. Hotel is next to the Sélune river. At night you can open the door and sleep with the calming sound of the river.

Property is next the river, a beautiful spot, was easy to find, the parking was also easy to find, even before checking in. Room and bathroom was clean and warm. Staff we super helpful and friendly. Dinner on Saturday night was great and efficient, we had to book before 6pm. No dinner options on Sunday but luckily they booked us in the Pizzeria down the street. Shame other 2 restaurants were holiday at the same time. A 30 min drive to Mont Saint Michel which is a must see. Omaha is 1.5 hours drive. Would love to see the Ducey Village in the summer time as it is beautiful.
