Hotel was okay and clean enough but very dated with original bathrooms, no amenities and our bathroom window was unlocked with a hole punched in the screen on the first floor. Phones/ light fixtures/smoke detectors had been removed off the walls and replaced but the damaged places on walls were just left as is. At $110/night, it was way overpriced as several newer, cleaner and nicer hotels are available nearby at that same price point, we just happened to be in town during an event when other hotels were booked. The hotel has a lobby but it was locked and check in was through a tiny sliding window as if the area was unsafe (although the area appears to be in a safe and normal looking strip mall and we checked in at 3:30 in the afternoon). Although I had already paid online I was asked for my drivers license then asked to sign a carbon copy of something?? The front desk person did not speak English and was unable to tell me what I was signing and did not give me a copy. There are no coffee makers in the room, no lobby to provide coffee and no free coffee was offered at the onsite restaurant, also called Rip’s. I also found it odd that such a dumpy motel would have a updated restaurant featuring dinner entrees ranging from $18-35.
