From the moment we arrived at Howard Johnson Fort st. John , we were treated so nicely. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome and well taken care of. Our room was nothing short of amazing – spacious, modern, and immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave it! The bathroom was beautifully designed with high-end toiletries and a fantastic shower.

Was travelling on a budget. This motel is dated and somewhat in need of upgrades but I expected this because the price was lower compared to others. Honestly, some of the staff were rude (a few were awesome), the building looked very run down and dirty. When I tried to go elsewhere due to a miscommunication on the amount of the pet fee (was told during check in that it was an extra $50 a night, holy smokes) they would not let me cancel my reservation and made me pay at least one night no matter if I stayed or not (I should have paid the cancellation fee). But as I am not made of money and could not afford to pay for a room and stay elsewhere as well, I stayed the whole 5 nights. The breakfast fare was minimal and did not taste great. The whole building smelled musty when there was not a giant cloud of cologne hiding everything.
