The legendary Piazzetta buzzes with fashionable folks sipping espresso while narrow medieval lanes wind between luxury boutiques and breathtaking viewpoints. Augustus Gardens cascade down cliffsides with jaw-dropping Gulf views that'll make your Instagram followers weep with envy. The ancient Certosa monastery offers a peaceful break from the glitz. Getting around is delightfully car-free—just you and your walking shoes on winding stone pathways. Expect Michelin-starred restaurants alongside charming cafés serving perfect Caprese salads. Most travellers stay in boutique hotels converted from historic villas with infinity pools and personalised service that makes you feel like Italian royalty.
Marina Grande
Marina Grande's colourful harbour welcomes visitors to Capri with bobbing wooden boats and azure Mediterranean views. Traditional fishermen still mend nets at dawn while travellers arrive by ferry throughout the day. The historic funicular railway whisks you up to Capri town, or you can wander along the curved bay to find pebbled beaches perfect for a refreshing swim. Family-run seafood trattorias line the waterfront, serving fresh catch with harbour views. Small hotels and B&Bs with sea-view terraces offer a peaceful place to rest after exploring. Getting around is simple with the funicular, limited bus service, or the most authentic option—your own two feet.
Marina Piccola
Marina Piccola's turquoise waters frame stunning views of Capri's famous Faraglioni rock formations. Beach clubs dot this sun-drenched southern harbour where visitors lounge on pebbled shores or dive into crystal-clear Mediterranean waves. Winding paths lead to scenic lookouts at Via Krupp and Green Grotta, perfect for those who appreciate natural beauty with a touch of glamour. Seafood restaurants serve fresh catch on terraces overlooking the water, while boutique hotels and luxury villas cascade down the hillside. Getting around requires good walking shoes—the terrain is steep but rewards explorers with breathtaking vistas and hidden swimming spots.

Tiberio
Tiberio beckons with ancient splendour and jaw-dropping Mediterranean panoramas at every turn. Emperor Tiberius built Villa Jovis here, where ruins command breathtaking views of azure waters. Matermania
Matermania showcases Capri's wild side with dramatic natural formations and scenic trails. Hike to the towering Arco Naturale limestone arch or explore the ancient Grotta di Matromania cave. The panoramic views of the azure Tyrrhenian Sea from Monte Tuoro will leave you breathless. Those seeking peace will appreciate the distance from the island's tourist crowds. This secluded area features exclusive private villas cascading down limestone cliffs. Pack a picnic for your adventures since dining options are minimal. While there's no direct beach access, the spectacular clifftop vistas more than compensate. Most visitors arrive by taxi or private transfer as the steep terrain requires sturdy walking shoes.
You can stroll along Marina Grande for relaxing water views when you're in Marina Grande. If you carry on walking you'll get to Marina Grande Beach, Bagni di Tiberio Beach, and Spiaggia Libera di Marina Grande for some more water views.

Zip up to the summit of Monte Solaro by chairlift for jaw-dropping views of the Bay of Naples. Hop aboard a boat tour to the mesmerising Blue Grotto, where sunlight creates an otherworldly azure glow.
Besides the fact that it is generally extremely expensive, we loved our visit. We fully embraced the setting and spent a full day at one of the beach clubs, took a boat tour around the island and enjoyed leisurely meals. Lovely slow pace.

It is breathtaking. Disappointing that we could not see the Blue Grotto but the boat tour around the island was very nice. High end shopping Mecca.

Make sure to do a boat trip around the island, but don't stress about seeing the Blue Grotto. Also, the chairlift is incredible!

Good
Capri while beautiful is by far the least accessible destination, completely over run with tourists everywhere and likely one of the most difficult places to get around.

We were in Capri in April and it was already busy. We absolutely loved it but cannot imagine what it would be like when the island is full (May-Sept)!

"The hotel provided a truly exceptional experience, characterized by its beauty, elegance, professionalism, and top-tier customer service, making it one of the best I have ever encountered. The views from my room were breathtaking and captivating, and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant's food was delicious, and the presentation was excellent. The hotel was conveniently located near the restaurant, the ferry, and a small beach, all within walking distance."
"Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The hotel, room, the restaurant, the area & convenient location which includes a shuttle down to Amalfi.
The staff are wonderful!! A special shout out to Rosita! Thank you all for a wonderful and unforgettable stay.
DO NOT SKIP THIS WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!"
"Best views of the entire Amalfi coast and best spot for sunset. None of the hustle of Positano nor the stuffiness and pretentiousness of some of the other places nearby. Will be back!"
"We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a better room upon arrival, which made our stay even more special. The room was clean, modern, and offered stunning views (best in town).
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The hotel also provides a convenient complimentary shuttle service to Sorrento center every hour, which made exploring the area easy and stress-free.
Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

"Fabulous Italian hotel. Staff were super helpful and really friendly. The only slight complaint would be the breakfast was a bit unimaginative and often cold. Great experience and would go back"
