Markham is the new Chinatown, have lots of restaurants and places to go, but it is a bit far from downtown Toronto. Traveling with a car is not difficult, just a bit of driving. I did not use local transportation, could be different without a car.

We enjoy Markham for all of the Asian shopping and restaurant experiences. Kids love the claw machine arcades too.

I found the areas we were in Markham were clean.. didn't see much litter
"Enjoyed how close we were to Union Station and the Subway as we were attending the National Bank Tennis. Loved that we could leave our luggage in a secure place the next day and spend time in TO. The Ritual cafe and the Bistro in the hotel, very nice! Great atmosphere, good food and pleasant helpful staff. A Keurig coffee maker with several pods would have made it perfect rather than the type that was there. Overall, a very pleasant experience as always! We will be back! "
"I had issues with my room due to the AC not working, the staff was amazing and went beyond making sure myself and my daughter was comfortable as she is special needs. All staff members were so kind and caring toward my daughter and also was so supportive and kind. I highly recommend this hotel and will be vack in the coming future."
"Great location (easy access to dining/shopping/metro), nice to have balcony access in our room, the room was clean, pool was nice (included a slide and hot tub) - my teen boys enjoyed it. Only negative was the check-in process (waited 20 minutes in a very long line), but once that was done we had a great stay"
"The property is nearby a ton of different places that you don’t really need a car. The room itself was amazing bed was super comfortable and the restaurants downstairs hit the spot. "
