Great places to eat, drink, shop and relax at beach clubs. There are the obvious tourist shops/taps and massage places - but that is Bali. Highly recommend dinner at Bambu, shop at Momo Batik grab a coffee at Local Coffee Bali (on door of Elysian!).

A place with good shopping and good restaurants. A lot of spas to choose where you get your massages. Highly recommend the ones at the beach side, close to Pelangi Hotel. You can't miss them, they are directly across the pathway to the beach.

Great area to stay as it's very close to excellent restaurants and shopping. Lots to do if you don't want to sit by a pool or on the beach all day.

Seminyak though far more peaceful than Legian and Kuta is generally overpriced in terms of shopping and restaurants.

Great for beaches, restaurants and nightlife but doesn't have the cultural feel of Bali that other areas do.

We came in the rainy season so the overcast skies did not bother us, but when you try and walk anywhere there are motorcycle taxis and car taxis constantly honking and calling out. Even if you are only walking a block the noise becomes overwhelming.

Centralized and great area for eating, shopping, and partying but unlike Kuta it didn't have a boardwalk. Can't go wrong with either Kuta, Seminyak, or Changgu. Depends on your taste.

Fun place to go but very touristy and different to the rest of the island. Not too much to do other than eat and drink so pleased to be there but after a week, we needed to move on!
