"I’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in some incredible 5-star hotels, but nothing truly compares to this experience. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel completely at home. I even ended up rearranging my trip just so I could stay here longer. The property is charming and beautifully maintained, with service that is second to none. The team goes above and beyond—whether it’s helping with activities in the area, arranging transportation, offering local specialties, or even having simple food options available for pickier eaters. The spa, located at the top of the grounds, is fantastic. I had a coffee scrub and massage that completely rejuvenated me after coming from the high altitude in Quito. When my friend wasn’t feeling well, they even prepared her a special tea—and she felt better the very next day. Meals on the balcony were unforgettable, surrounded by birds, butterflies, and the soothing sound of rainfall. The gentle, sweet property dog quickly became a highlight of our stay—we looked forward to seeing her every day. This place is a true gem. It’s close to town yet feels like a peaceful retreat. Stay as long as you can—you won’t want to leave! GREAT VALUE for the very reasonable price. "

"This is a unique hotel. Think more like a rental cabin in a usa national park. This is not a cookie cutter us holiday inn room. These are little home built cabins in a gorgeous tropical orchid garden. The beds are clean and comfortable, the shower water is hot and the electric outlets work fine to charge your devices. Wireless is great. Tatiana greeted us warmly and gave us our choice of 3 rooms since it was important to us to have a private bathroom and privacy. We woke to the sounds of birds outside our house. The breakfast is made to order. The hotel is easy walking to the center of Mindo and all its shops and restaurants. This hotel is not handicap accessible as there are stone paths to walk. We loved staying here and would stay here again. Mindo has tried to make itself extremely safe and friendly for tourists. It does help to be able to speak some Spanish."

"We stayed two nights, with a 6AM departure the second morning. So we only have the chance to try the morning breakfast once, but it was fantastic. Did not try the pool or sauna. We were chauffeured to/from airport and on our tour of Quito, so cannot really comment on ease of access to transit or the city. But there was a convenience store across the street for water/snacks and a number of cafes nearby. We tried the attached restaurant for dinner, and it was decent. On the third floor traffic/motorbike noise was definitely noticeable for us. Overall service was pretty good and we enjoyed our stay. Wished there was access to a bigger store and more authentic Ecuadorian foods nearby. "

"Very impressed with everything here. The room was large and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, as were the lunches we had at the hotel. Location next to a great park and an incredible botanical garden was fun. Easy to get to the old city via the new Metro."
