"The location of this hotel right on the water, with its beach and dock to swim in the lake, was the highlight of our stay. Close to everything in town as well, easy to jump on the ferry or bus."

"After an initial disaster at a "centrally" located hotel around Lake Como, this Hotel was a godsend. Wonderfully comfortable bed, cool A/C (heatwave at the time - our other hotel had NO A/C) and modern bathroom with powerful shower. Rooms were quiet despite hotel being quite full, and blackout blinds meant a great night sleep. We even managed to have a swim in the pool. The hotel is in a suburban setting with not much around so you will definitely need a car. There is a restaurant serving lunch and dinner (although we only had breakfast which was very good - if you enjoy Italian style sugar and caffeine breakfast). Cakes, coffee and pastries. Town of Varese is 10 minute drive and worth a short stop with interesting sights and eating options. The hotel was perfect for our 1 night stopover."

"This the best property in Bellagio! The rooms are modern and spotless, the restaurants are excellent, the pool is refreshing but the best quality of the hotel is their amazing staff. They are a great team dedicated to making your stay perfect. I emailed questions and they were responsive and helpful in advance and also after arrival. Even shop owners in town said they consistently hear the Belvedere should be rated 5 stars. My only advice is there is no transportation in the town (taxi or uber) so make sure if you are not renting a car have the Bellagio book a car and driver for you."

"This hotel is nicely located in the center of Lugano. Breakfast was wonderful! Our room was spotless, and it seemed quite new. The desk gave us an unexpected credit at their Mixology bar, which was a really helpful bonus. Would certainly recommend staying here!"

"Beautiful location on the hillside overlooking Lugano lake. Suite was lovely and had a pull down bed in living area, not a sofa bed as described, which was a bonus. Meals and drinks in the hotel were expensive but there are other options in the nearby town. Didn't want to leave! "

"The rooms were good, the hotel itself has a resort feel to it which makes it really nice. The restaurants on cite have good vibes (even though the food is not good). Overall, staying in Como this is not a bad spot. "

"Hotel room was decent enough and spacious enough for family of 4. Recommend to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The pool and view however was spectacular. Hotel was conveniently located to some great restaurants and short drive to the city. "

"The USP of this property is the amazing view down to Lago di Lugano across into Switzerland. There is also the interesting story about the old funicular railway to the rear of the hotel which closed in 1977 but may be refurbished and reinstated if funds can be secured. It is a rural location, about 20 mins walk from the nearby town of Lanzo d'Intelvi and the bus service from Como drops you about 400m from the hotel reception if you aren't driving. Rooms were not air conditioned but you do get a oscillating fan! Get a room with a view and you won't be disappointed "

"Great staff, really helpful and kind; one of the porters even let me borrow his own adapter as i'd brought a 2 pin EU adapter with me and this hotel uses the 3 pin type. Good breakfast - buffet style with enough hot and cold options, sweet and savoury. Would recommend this hotel already, but the location and transport links really help."
