"We were in town for an overnight trail race, meaning we wouldn’t return to the hotel after dinner time until roughly 3:00 AM. The staff assured there would be someone on duty, and we had zero issues getting back in and to our room for a hot shower and some much needed sleep. When we checked out later that morning, the staff even asked how the race went and if we were able to get enough sleep for our drive home. This is year two of staying here for this event, and we’ll definitely be back. "
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Gadsden W-Near Attalla by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful place to stay, rooms were clean and modern, and bed was extremely comfortable. Great buffet breakfast with eggs, potatoes, sausages, oatmeal, assorted cereals, bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, juices, and great freshly brewed coffee. Staff was extremely nice!"
"The property itself was beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was exceptional. We stayed on a Saturday night, the racing cars and loud music from them was irritating but not the hotels fault. We’d stay again. "
"We travel to Gadsden several times a year. Usually, we stay at a hotel down the street. However, this time we decided to give Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott a try since we weren't blown away with the experience at the prior hotel on our last trip.
To get right to the point, this hotel is our new favorite in this area. We are also going to start booking Fairfield Inn & Suites for our other trips too.
Here's why:
1. Great FREE parking
2. Wonderful, friendly and QUICK check in process (thank you Carol) and front desk associates
3. Delightfully CLEAN, resort type fragranced type atmosphere in lobby, common areas, pool area, fitness center and laundry
4. QUICK and accessible elevators (more than 1 makes all the difference
5. Inviting and COMFORTABLE room bed with premium clean, fresh and soft bedding
6. SEPARATE seating and hanging out area that helps you spread out and separate day activities from sleeping
7. WALK-IN SHOWER and bathroom that is updated, roomy and private
8. HELPFUL and friendly housekeeping staff (thank you Beth) who actually speak to you and ask, "Do you need anything? Please let me know if you do." Wow!
9. MULTIPLE, updated, STURDY luggage or grocery carts available in foyer.
10. FREE breakfast that was delicious with hot and cold options. And, no scowling if you take your plate back to your room (I like to eat while I'm getting ready for the day)
All the reasons we WILL be back and book with Marriott again and again."
"The McClellan Inn Anniston is an example of hard work done by the couple that operate, and likely own, the establishment. The buildings are slightly aged, probably built in the 1970's but refurbished within the rooms. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. The heat/air units are very proficient. The beds are very comfortable. Each room has a microwave, small refrigerator (very good for cooling canned and bottled drinks) nice flat screen television with cable, ample drawer space, a desk, small couch and table, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and very well-lighted sink and mirror area. The bathroom, while small, is very impressive with a very nice walk-in shower. The service is more than adequate, cleaning service is good and the area is functional, especially if there on business. The establishment is within a quarter mile of several eateries, a large WalMart, an Aldi's, and is not excessively traffic burdened. Very suburban feel. Friendly, basic service by staff. Highly recommend for basic lodging needs. "
"The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The pool was nice and water temp was perfect for some super hot days while we were there. The staff were very nice and accomodating when we asked for early check in and had to add an extra room for one night. I will definitely be staying here again when i am back in the area!"
"Large & reasonably quiet room, considering its proximity to the Interstate. Comfortable bed and bedding. Quick arrival of hot water in shower and decent pressure.
I did see a bug crawling down the wall once. The barking of a dog in a neighboring room was quite audible, but didn't last very long. The shower fixtures were elegant-looking but it took a few minutes to figure out how to get the water to come out of the shower head. The shower head used a square button to change the water pattern. But after using it a minute or 2, pressing the button for a different pattern shut off the water altogether! To restore flow, I had to turn the water off, force the diverter open to drain the head, and begin again. I'm an engineer and it took me a while to figure this thing out. Not a good design! Pretty, but not good."
"Really good place to stay. Super clean and no bugs
The only downside of our trip was these kids from a baseball tournament in town was running back and forth banging on doors
I called the front desk and they said they would take care of it and it stopped for a little while and then started back up "
