Theres a mall nearby with everything you could want. The area is very safe. Theres a small lake bearby with a walking trail and a commuter train close. The ferry runs just 5 miles away, and goes to San Francisco. There are lots of restaurants close.

The surrounding area is mostly residential apartments. Even if you do not have a car and you can get here by bus and downtown San Rafael is close enough it would only take a few minutes to either get there one way or the other.

Seems like a cute town. Their downtown is quaint and seems to have a lot of shops. We ate at MyThai restaurant right on the main strip and it was fantastic! I recommend it highly.
