Great little hotel a little off the main area

This hotel was just perfect for our first night in Iceland while we tried to shake the jet lag. Room wasn't too spacious but super cute with the canopy bed - which was very comfy. Bathroom was very clean and great bath products. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of veggie options and good coffee. Staff was friendly and check in/out was easy. The only detraction was it is about a 15 minute walk from the main downtown attractions.

Anywhere that offers complimentary coffee and plays Velvet Underground in the reception can’t be bad! Nice hotel, convenient location, friendly staff, good breakfast and easy parking. What’s not to like?!

Upgraded to water view (thanks). Walkable to many fine restaurants and shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Handicap accessible room was very thoughtfully laid out.

Very clean rooms, which is the most important thing to me. Very friendly staff. About 15-20 minutes walk from downtown area. Easy enough to catch a cab (front desk has a button that summons one immediately). Pretty good breakfast (we stayed a week, ate breakfast at the hotel three times); pricey but that’s Iceland. You can definitely get two full helpings for the cost. Rooms were quiet and comfortable, very nice for a week-long stay. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay overall: Pros: Parking onsite Excellent breakfast Friendly staff Convenient location Shower, hot and strong Beautiful decor/aesthetic Cons: No refrigerator/microwave in rooms Rooms: questionable air quality. Bad cough. “Restaurant” is a stretch. Some bar food that is basic. There should be a dinner option buffet style like breakfast. Some kind of a pantry would be helpful to purchase medicines, toiletries, etc.

I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. All night flight brought me to the hotel by 830am. They checked me in and my room was ready. That was amazing. It was clean. And perfect size for me,I travel solo. It was walking distance to the lighthouse and the famous rainbow road. And there’s a small grocery store directly behind the hotel. They had a breakfast every morning that I think is terribly overpriced. I ate there once and had a pastry and some bacon. For $25. I did have dinner there one night and the food was good. There was a terrible storm and my tour was cancelled. Winds were 60 mph. So at dinner time I went downstairs for something to eat and they were closed. That was disappointing. I was starving and ended up ordering a pizza for delivery. I do not recommend their tour desk. Better to setup tours through Expedia,or My Guide. One of my tours- the bus had a plexiglass window that leaked water. And I paid for hotel pick up and drop off. They dropped me off on a main road 30 minute walk. In the snow. At night. And it was my first day there and I had no idea where I was going. The tour that was cancelled- took them 10 days to refund me. So, skip their tour desk options. I would stay there again. And recommend the hotel. Just find food elsewhere and don’t use their tour options

Great other than the cleaning ladies waking us up

i would have given it five stars, but the morning after a late night Aurora expedition the cleaning ladies woke us up banging and yapping loudly at 830 am in the next room... Other than that, was excellent!
