Fabulous!

Another fabulous stay at this fantastic hotel. Love the themed rooms and interesting decor throughout the place. Fabulous breakfast. It would be good if there was recycling in the kitchen area - no where to put cleaned yogurt pottels etc. In the rooms recycling is promoted but not in the kitchen area where there is glass and plastic that can be recycled going straight in the bin destined for landfill.

Loved the eclectic decor, which fit perfectly with our Steampunk Festival weekend. The apartment was lovely and spacious, very convenient with its own private access and super friendly and efficient staff. An extremely enjoyable stay. We will be back.

A Posh Hotel It Is!!

The first thing that stands out is the eclectic collection of antiques for each themed room. It's definitely worth poking your head in some of the other rooms to see them. What a fun and funky hotel! The location is convenient for walking around town. There are several restaurants that are open seven days a week. Most of the shops, however, close at 5 PM. Parking is convenient. The staff was exceedingly friendly!!! The continental breakfast was fine. A nice variety of fresh fruit and cereals.

The only place of this standard in Oamaru

A fabulous stay at Poshtel. I had an upstairs room (polo theme) which was so comfortable and quiet. The staff were amazing & the free breakfast was substantial and good quality. Nice extra touches like the pillow sleep spray. I will definitely stay here a 3rd time.

Very unique structure... you ring a bell and wait for host to open the door (a key code allows you to enter hotel on your own once you check in). Building is unique -- a loft-style bank / hunting lodge (yes, it is all of those things). Town has preserved much of its historic buildings, and repurposed them -- a bit of a walk to other attractions (Steampunk Museum, and blue penguin colony).

We loved this hotel so much! Its so quirky and rich in history with all the memorabilia. So much to look at! The staff were awesome and the continental breakfast perfect start to the day. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to others heading to fabulous little Oamaru!

Great one night stay at a quiet and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is delicious and lots of fresh fruit, dairy, breads, and cereal. Super convenient to the Victorian district and the harbor. Very cute town - would stay again! Bed is a little soft - only minor negative.
