This hotel was a great choice as our first hotel in our Taiwan trip. It is so close to Taipei central station and other MRT stations which made travel around the city very easy as well as convenient. The staff were all very pleasant and kind, I even received a birthday card as well as cake as we arrived a day after my birthday. The breakfast was pretty good and offered some variety. The room was very spacious, the beds very comfortable and everything was kept very clean.

We had a good time in Taipei and the hotel is fair good. 5 mins walk to mrt with lots of eateries nearby. The room is big enough as well as the bathroom.Bed is firm and nice. Pillows are too soft for my liking. Breakfast is good. Gym is decent. I would recommend for those who prefer to be near to shopping areas.

A decent hotel

A decent hotel overall. No complaints about hotel staff, they were all quite nice and met expectations. That said, there was a miscommunication which resulted in a n early morning call. We requested for taxi service for our departure on Saturday and they called us rather early in the morning of Friday, wasn’t able to return to sleep after the call. The room we had met our expectations and it was a pretty good room overall. The only issue we had with this room was the bathroom’s sink - the faucet leaked. Despite getting the staff to look into it, it still leaked when we returned to our room. No major inconvenience caused though. I wouldn’t say it is located near the mrt station but it isn’t far either. If one is interested to put up at this hotel and has luggage, the advice is to not take the nearest exit as it only has a long flight of stairs; use exits that have escalators or make use of their elevators. There are breakfast stalls nearby but do expect a 5 - 10 minute walk. There are at least two breakfast places very near DoubleTree.
