Nice basic hotel
Nice hotel With lovely staff, but "luxury suites" we're lacking the luxury. Bed was large but there was a gap between even though was supposed to be a king bed and other side was really worn (sank in the middle where people have been sleeping). Not many tv channels but use of Netflix. I would definitely take a room at the hotel next time if coming back. Suite was spacious and had a fridge and a microwave so handy for someone with small children but you need to cross a road to get to the hotel. Breakfast was very average.

Quiet, comfortable stay in classy Castletroy Suite
I had a lovely 2-night stay in one of the beautiful Castletroy Hotel suites. Very quiet & comfortable suite which contributed to sleeping soundly. Kitchenette well stocked with coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, etc. would highly recommend.

Castletroy Park hotel
We stayed last year and the biggest problem then was the bar and food service. Only one poor young fellow behind the bar trying to keep over 100 guests served. If anything that has gone worse. Same problem, packed to overfloing bar area, have to wait ages for a drink & to order food We went to a concert at UL & came back for a drink in the bar, same poor young fellow, same problem. I went up for our last drink at 11.31 only to be told bar closes at 11.30, no more drinks will be served, even for residents. In 50 years staying hoted have never encountered this draconian rule. Needless to say once bitten, careless, twice bitten my stupid. We won't be coming here again

Back home for a family visit.
Stayed in the suites rather the hotel. The apartment was clean and looked nice and modern. The issues we had we the beds. In the master bedroom the beds had massive dips in them making it very uncomfortable. The sofa bed my kids stay on was lumpy and the found it hard to sleep. We were only there for 2 nights, but had we been staying longer i would definitely had had a word at reception. Eat in the bar on the first night. Food was average at best,i did tip but only because floor staff were friendly and very polite. Will i stay ther again... probably not. Sorry, cant afford to risk it given the amount of other hotels ive stayed in Limerick when down visiting family.

Spotlessly clean suite, and bed very comfortable. Only issue is that some kind of fan kept humming all night in the bathroom even though all switches were off and noisy even with the bathroom door shut.

First time staying back here in a good few years. Hotel is as nice as ever, well maintained. The area around the hotel has been significantly build up since I was last here, but very safe. There is a convenience store very close by. Breakfast in the hotel was very good an dour room was excellent. We stayed in one of the suites adjacent to the hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There is a cigarette disposal at the entrance to the suites which was over flowing for the 3 days we were there - needs to be cleaned. We also had quite a bit of noise around 3am on Saturday night, as some revellers returned. Overall it was a really good stay with good service in bar and restaurant

Staff was pleasant. Stayed in a suite room. The shower floor was orange with mold spots. The staff came right away to clean it. The laudry they said i would need a key to use that was for the suites (when emailed ahead) was unlocked during the day. I was able to do one load of laundry the night we arrived before it closed. It seems like people from outside of guests are doing their laundry there (since it is unlocked). I was unable to wash laundry the next night. Only one washer and one dryer. All outside doors to the suites were unlocked. Too many switches that are very difficult to figure out what they go to.

We got upgraded to a premium suite which was great. Had 2 kings & pull out sofa. Room was clean and spacious. Awesome large patio space. However the shower had quite a bit of black mold. Under the sink was mold and a pile of caulk under the bath. Benches by bed had stains and rip. For a 4 star hotel I think these things could have easily be fixed.

I stayed here for two weeks, and felt at home. Housekeeping came in every two days. Had a little mart "spar" next door, plus a cafe. Also there is a restaraunt onsite...with a bar. Overall was a great stay.
