Our stay along with 3 other families was average, with some good things and others not so good. Upon arrival, we were disappointed as we were told that our BOOKED room type (pool view) was not available. Why? When I pre-booked it, why was it not available? To compensate, we were given the UNIQUE access (which included access to different pools, buffet and some other amenities) but now our friends and us were divided. We had to call someone to our room immediately as the sink was clogged and TV was not working. Sink was fixed, but TV did not work during our entire trip. Other than that, restaurants are accessible and nice, plenty of bars all around, really nice main pool and activities around.
Food is pretty OK (nothing out of the ordinary), beach is nice and people are mostly friendly. We also had an unpleasant experience at their FOTOEVENTS shop where we negotiated the group photoshoot price with their salesperson and after spending an hour taking photos and then going to their shop to collect the photos, we were told that they would not honor that price. Eventually after a lot of back and forth, they agreed on a price still higher than the quoted price as we just didn't have time to waste there (lesson learnt - get the quoted price in writing). Overall - OK stay, but prob won't return there and would like to explore different options in Punta Cana.
