The manager was new to the area so she could not help us much in understanding what was happening in Havana. We did have AC which was very necessary. The power did go off several times for more than 3 hours. There was a good shower with hot water.

The photographs in the Expedia entry for booking are totally misleading. They show pictures of other places (eg the 5-star Hotel Nacional, on the opposite side of town) and other scenes unrelated to the property. The description is also misleading - no garden, no terrace, no bar facilities. I could go on. But the hostess was friendly and very helpful; our stay was limited and we spent little time there beyond the nights. For this it was adequate and clean. It is well located and quiet. Close to old Havana. The steps are challengingly narrow. What I most object to is the misrepresentation through pictures and listing of things not present.

Geslapen in het centrum van Havana.
Midden in het oude gedeelte van Havana, net naast een paar prachtig mooie straten in het oude centrum. Geweldig lieve vrouw die dag en nacht aanwezig is om de deur voor je open te doen. Geen toilet papier aanwezig in de drie dagen dat we aanwezig waren, je moet zelf voor drinkwater zorgen. Gehorige kamers, buren zijn erg luidruchtig. Bed was geweldig groot, lekker gelegen. Nette schone badkamer.

Es imposible dormir. Las camas son de mala calidad, incomodisimas. Pero lo peor es que, noche tras noche, a las 7 a.m se empiezan a escuchar unos ruidos de lavadoras, aspiradoras, música a todo volumen, los vecinos gritando, etc.

Great place to stay in Old Havana!
I loved staying here! 2min walk from Plaza Vieja. Place is really clean, modern and comfortable. The lady stays at the accommodation 24hrs and is willing to help out with anything. Had a 7am flight and had to leave at 4:30am but woke up for me to check out. Definitely recommend!

Bra läge. Läget inne i gamla stan gav en möjlighet att reflektera över hur områdets kubaner bor och lever, vilket var intressant. Fint rum med bra säng Kändes inte som hotell, med bara tre rum, ingen reception eller frukostmatsal. Frukosten serverades i en smal gång. Där fanns inga toalettartiklar som utlovats. Ingen daglig städning. Vi mötte tre personal varav två kunde engelska och var serviceintriktade. Entrén är inte skyltad. Hög trappa in i huset och sedan smala trappor upp till rummen. Tycker att första bilden, när vi bokade hotellet, är missvisande, det är ett litet hus och för oss framgick det inte tydligt att det inte var ett hotell utan ett privat boende

Nicht empfehlenswert!
Positiv ist zunächst die gute Lage zu erwähnen, da es nur wenige Gehminuten von dem zentralen Platz der Altstadt (Plaza Vieja) entfernt ist. Außerdem ist das Zimmer für kubanische Verhältnisse recht modern eingerichtet. Leider überwiegen insgesamt jedoch die negativen Punkte: Von außen ist nicht zu erkennen, dass es sich um ein Hostel handelt. Auch die Nachbarn kannten das Hostel nicht, als wir nachfragten - seltsam. Ein weiterer Negativpunkt ist, dass die Gastgeberin kein Wort Englisch spricht. Wirklich kein einziges, was die Kommunikation sehr schwierig macht. Leider auch noch verbunden mit einer sehr arroganten Art der Gastgeberin, die uns für schuldig hinstellte, dass wir kein spanisch verstehen. Es wurde auch kein Versuch ihrerseits unternommen ein Wort auf Englisch zu verwenden oder mit Händen, Füßen, Handzeichen oder wie auch immer sich mit uns zu verständigen. Unser Zimmer im Erdgeschoss hatte kein Fenster und war sehr hellhörig, sodass man ab 6 Uhr durch laute Geräusche aus der Küche geweckt wurde. Zudem waren unzählige Mücken in unserem Zimmer. Während des Aufenthalts gab es keinen Zimmerservice z. B. zum Mülleimer entleeren. Das Frühstück für 6 Cuc war sehr mager. Da sollte man auf die Cafés in der Umgebung ausweichen. Generell stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Es gibt zahlreiche vergleichbare und deutlich günstigere Zimmer in Havanna.
