This hotel was about 15 minutes away from BC, which was where we were going to spend most of the weekend.
Check in was pretty fast, the staff was friendly and we were even offered a glass of wine.
The decor was kind of industrial/artsy. The hotel had a restaurant with quite a few automated craft beer taps, which looked interesting but we went out everyday so didn’t try it. We did try the french fríes, which were great.
The hallways were VERY industrial looking and the rug looked like it needed some deep cleaning.
Our room was in the South section, which was all the way in the back of the property, a bit far but not terrible.
Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were great, as was the water pressure and it had good blackout shades.
On the downside….We missed having a coffeemaker in our room. Our sink in particular also looked a bit cracked/worn.
The view from our room was part parking lot, part what looked to be like a sand distributor…very close in fact so we kept the curtains shut most of the time for privacy.
The hotel had parking, but the space markings were a bit faded, leading to confusion as to where to park, particularly in the back and side parking lots.
Continental breakfast was included and the bagels were fresh & delicious.
At check out we had to repeat that we were Silver VIP members so they could waive one day of the resort fee. We had told the staff at check in & were promised it would be removed before we checked out but they still hadn’
