My review after one week stay...
I stayed at Villas Nicolas for a week so these are my observations. Pros: -Quiet and adults only -Location right on the main road -Large units with balcony and kitchen -Possibility to see wildlife like monkeys sloth and macaws from balcony Cons: -I paid for a ocean view but it isn't as depicted online. Its a partial view with most of it obscure by the forest. -Comes with a kitchen but no tea or coffee provided -Unit is very dated and in need of a reno. Our door lock knob didn't even lock unless the key was used to lock and unlock. -I understand we are in the forest but the unit is full of insects, bathroom and kitchen had tons and found some on the bed as well. -Breakfast is basic with 2 options only. Rice, eggs and fruits or 2 small pancakes. -Booked a queen bed but got 2 double beds. Bed was loud and wood frame made a lot of noise

Excelente opção.
Atendimento impecável, sempre solícito e com simpatia. O café da manhã poderia ser mais variado, porém é bem feito e com horário a partir de 6:30. Vale destacar que pode ser necessário passar por alguns lances de escada para chegar ao quarto. Não foi incômodo porém pode ser para algumas pessoas. Localização próxima ao Parque, restaurantes, mercado, e longe da confusão de Quepos.

Very kind staff, the pool is a tad deeper than one would anticipate but was sup lovely to float around in after a long hot day; yummy breakfast freshly cooked for you; great view of the ocean; beautiful macaws flying around AND a/c! Would stay here again no hesitation!

Hanging by the pool
Close to Manuel Antonio. Many good restaurants in walking distance. Helpful staff. We had a flat on our rental car and they assisted us in getting it fixed.

Great choice if you want to see jungle wildlife right from the Villas . Units and property very well maintained, units are large and has everything you need for the stay.. Being in the jungle and we had some rain did bring the insects around ..

Beautiful grounds with many plants and we saw so many animals on the property!! Macaws living in one of the trees for years, a sloth was living right outside our balcony and many monkeys constantly traveling through. Pool was nice. Nice to have breakfast included. Just note some rooms have many stairs so probably not great for some older people.

Beautiful and relaxing hotel. Our room was very nice, clean, comfortable, with a balcony and amazing view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast option was great, you get to eat by the garden next to the pool. We even got to see many wildlife animals here. Would definitely come back!!

We decided on this property based on past reviews. We stayed 7 nights for our 20 year wedding anniversary. This property is truly exceptional and I honestly think it has to be one of the best properties in the area! The staff=wonderful, the grounds=beautiful, the room=amazing, the view=Spectacular! The pool area was great... we actually had a sloth hanging around one day and he was at eye level in arms reach :) plus the monkeys all around the hotel made it such an amazing experience! The included breakfast was great and the breakfast staff was super nice! Conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Will definitely be back!

This property is absolutely gorgeous. The pool area is beautifully landscaped and feels like a little tropical oasis. We were able to see so many monkeys in the trees and it was fun to watch them with the other travellers. Our unit had a big balcony with a hammock to relax and enjoy a distant ocean view. The desk and bar staff were so friendly and made everything easy. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back!

Incredible! Waking up to the sounds of nature, watching squirrel monkeys frolicking in the trees while swinging in the hammock on the balcony with a view of the ocean. Walk to restaurants nearby or make your own using the stove, oven, microwave, blender. Enjoy free breakfast by the pool. Yolo is a 2 min walk away with pub games, pool table, live music and good pub fare. Wifi is great. No TV (you really don't miss it!, and if you do, head to Yolo where they have plenty for you to watch your sports). Security 24/7, great staff. You MUST go to happy hour every day, by the pool, where Ramido makes the best drinks. Buy his homemade hot sauce to take home with you!
