Lovely and historic

A lovely and historic property attached to an old church. Beautiful courtyard, intimate bar, and a nice dining room. Excellent staff service at front desk and in restaurant. My only complaint is the size of the room I was given. Tiny and with great sun exposure, was too worn. Luckily, the hotel provided a small fan but it was noisy. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.

Sleep and events don't go well together

The place itself is ok - nothing fancy, but actually quite charming. However, if they are having an event during your stay, and you want to get some sleep, you probably need to find another hotel. We had 1 night at Renthof, as a stop during our travel back home, after a 10 hours drive, and before an 8 hours drive. When we arrived, we realized that the hotel was hosting a wedding on that day. The room we got was small, but cozy, however, sleep was impossible, due to the sound coming from the party downstairs. Not only the sound was incredibly loud, but the whole room was rattling from the bass' vibration. We were given a room further away from the core of the party, but did not help much. That meant a sleepless night, and a bad experience. If avoiding to rent rooms right above the event place is not a possibility, it would be nice (and considerate) to at least send out a warning in good time, so the guest can choose whether to endure the sleepless night, or to find somewhere else to get some rest. As a side note, I suggest that the 'sound-isolated rooms' statement from the description here in the page should be modified.

Nun denn, das gesamte Motto könnte heißen: gewollt und nicht gekonnt - bei einem wirklich guten Hotel stimmen auch die Details. Hier eben nicht, ich weiß gar nicht wo anfangen: Temperatur Dusche nicht wirklich einstellbar, ein "Nachttisch" so klein, dass kein Platz für eine Brille (!!!) ist, ein Hemd eines Vorgastes im Schrank, keine Milch (oder Kaffeeweißer) für den angebotenen Kaffee im Zimmer, kein Hand-Handtuch usw. In der Lounge liegen die Kissen wie arme kranke Tiere auf den Sitzgelegenheiten, und das am Abend noch genauso wie am Morgen nach dem Abend zuvor. Es ist eine tolle Location, aber es wäre sehr viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit notwendig um es zu einem tollen Hotel zu machen.

Yli 800 km ajomatkan jälkeen ei ollut mukava alkaa kirjoittamaan itseään hotelliin sisään ja tekemään avainkortti huoneeseen kuten vastaanoton virkailija meidät ohjasi. Samaan aikaan vastaanoton virkailija jutteli mukavia tuttavansa kanssa. Pohdimme oliko tämä oikeasti itsepalvelumotelli vaiko oikea hotelli? Saimme respasta pahvikupongin, jolla meidän kuului saada pullo viiniä, joka osoittautui kuohuviiniiksi. Illallisella esitimme kupongin ja kysyimme voisimmeko saada yhden lasin kuohuviiniä ja yhden oluen tuo kokonaisen kuohuviinipullo sijaan? Asia oli kuulemma ok.ja viinikuponki otettiin meiltä juomien maksuksi. Myöhemmin huomasimme että ravintola oli kuitenkin veloittanut meiltä nuo ns ilmaiset juomat? Selvitämme asiaa seuraavana aamuna uloskirjautumisen yhteydessä ja asia saatiin kuntoon. Illallinen oli pienoinen pettymys, paikka oli kyllä ihan mukava. Aamiainen oli maukas ja riittävä. Hotellin pihalla auton parkkeeraus yön yli klo 19-8 maksoin15 €

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in toller Atmosphäre

Hotel mit toller Architektur und ansprechendem Einrichtungsstil. Der Empfang war sehr angenehm. Parkplätze stehen nach Check-In kostenpflichtig hinter einer Schranke parat. Die Zimmer sind „auf alt“ eingerichtet und verfügen nicht über Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück war nicht Trubels und die Zutaten waren allesamt sehr hochwertig.

Väldigt mysigt hotell! Så fint och genuint på alla sätt. Eftersom huset var så gammalt gav det en unik atmosfär (var nästan orolig att någon munk skulle spöka på rummet under natten ;-) ). Vi åt även i restaurangen och maten var god och personalen mycket trevlig. Kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell!
