This hotel is rustic and charming. We were enroute between Florence and Paris and stopped here for the night. It was such a pleasant surprise! Our room, although simple, was immaculately clean and had sweeping views of sunset over the river. The little patio was the perfect spot to wait for dinner in The Old Farm’s original building.
Dinner was incredible! Delicious French country dinner at its finest! Impeccable service was offered by the staff which made our dinner in their beautiful floor-to-ceiling-windowed upper veranda a marvelous place to enjoy an early autumn evening.
Breakfast the next morning was equally delightful. We watched rowers practicing on the river over our coffee and perfect croissants. My husband's only complaint is that he ate too much. (He finished my dinner as well as his own - it was too good to waste!)
My only regret was that the weather did not allow us to enjoy their beautiful pool facility. If I lived in Paris, I’d be here as many weekends as possible. There are farm animals to enjoy.
Finally, La Vieille Ferme was an active member of the resistance during WWII. There is a plaque noting their commendation for contributions to that heroic effort. The place is inspiring. These walls have stories to tell. Go and Listen for yourself.
Great value! Attention has been paid to every detail.
